To increase the chances of a successful cast you should have a temperature of 15 to 30 degrees above melting point to increase the chance of a smooth pour. Cobalt melting point is 1330c/2430f. So for a smooth pour you'd want 15 to 30 degrees above that,depending on you number or size what what you want to cast.
