Good Laptop with Some Trade-Offs
This is a good laptop, and I like it. It's not perfect, but it matches the description. My main negative point is the screen. My last laptop was the MSI GS63VR 6RF Stealth Pro, and compared to my old PC, this screen is a step down in several ways. The colors aren’t as vibrant—black, for example, looks more washed out, and there's noticeable light leakage along the edges. In terms of performance, it’s well-suited for my work as a developer. I’ve been using it for a week, and so far, the performance has been solid. For gaming, I’ve only tested it with Fortnite, and it runs smoothly there as well.

Seems very average for a gaming laptop.
Delivery and transaction was very good. Packaging and state of computer was excellent. I'm not convinced though this is a powerful computer for the category its in. It's not bad but I have a Lenovo T430s from 2012 that is almost as good in speed of everyday computing. I am not a gamer so I was a bit surprised it did not exceed my old laptop in an obvious way.I set up windows 11 but bypassed the aggressive account log in. Not overly impressed with Windows so I dual installed Linux on it and it is much better. I had some issues with the wifi card being very new so had to install wifi drivers to get the linux os to work with wifi. After that its been very good.Only thing that I am a bit annoyed at is the fan. For normal computing, browsing internet, the fan kicks on and is very noticeable. My older laptop is quiet as a church mouse. Im almost regretting the purchase, but I know its a well built machine.I like the metal casing and build of it. I had to look up how to open it up to adjust the ram. I put in another 8gb of ram to make it 16 and had a spare hdd to put inside the extra empty slot. I like that the OS runs on the SSD and I have extra storage with the HDD. Opening the case though is not easy. Not sure why they make it difficult. My older laptop is so easy to get to the ram and hard drive. For a gamer, I would think that the computer would be more accessible for customization and tweaking.3 stars for the experience. Not thrilled, not disappointed. Just meh...

A Solid Laptop for a Solid Price
As someone who wanted a laptop that wasn't too high-end (so I wouldn't mourn over its loss) and something that wasn't too weak, I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase.Graduating from an ROG "ultra gamer laptop", the outer casing is such a breath of fresh air. The thing is fully enclosed with a sleek black. The only thing that offsets the darkness is the piercing red of the shield and the keyboard. This is definitely where the "less-is-better" approach shines through - I'm not ashamed to bust this laptop out in a public area. Really grateful for the design choice here.In terms of performance, I have no qualms with it. As someone who plays Rocket League, Heroes of the Storm, and Fortnite, I can run these games on medium at 100-120fps. While it does get hot, it does arguably better than my older laptop, sitting under 80C during load. If you can get to knowing how to use the gamer profiles on Dragon Center, it'll help you a TON. While the presets have their own fan curves, you can also set your own. While I'm not gaming on battery, I am still doing some creative work like Photoshop/Krita. Even then I could use it for a while before I have to plug it in - though I usually have it plugged in so I don't have much experience on this end.I can't say too much for the keyboard. This classic laptop chiclet design is a far cry from my main mechanical keyboard, but it's nothing foreign from laptops of old which I'm fine with. Bonus points to having the enter key and backslash kind of combine to look like a reverse L enter key! How charming.A word of advice? Get a USB hub. This is constantly the issue I have with laptops - they'd probably have to increase the form factor to fit in more. All in all, this is a solid machine. I'll update this in case anything breaks.

Do Not Buy Electronics From WL Distributors - Laptop Died Before I Had Even Had It For A Year
tl;dr: Laptop wasn't good and the seller is worse. I highly recommend never purchasing electronics from WL Distributors, you will not get what you pay for, even if it's on sale, and by the time you realize it and ask for any type of assistance, they'll sit there and ignore you.I received this laptop in a timely manner but the battery life was never all that good and it had a dead pixel on arrival but all I used it for was to play Baldur's Gate 3, even though that stuttered at the lowest settings, and mostly played that while it was plugged in so I lived with it. I used it for less than 250 hours over the course of 10 months, have been very careful with it, and know how to treat electronics but a few months ago it began stuttering more than usual. It went about 2 months without even being used, then about a month ago when I decided to try it again, the laptop wouldn't even boot. I went through days of troubleshooting before having to reinstall Windows just to get it to start. That wiped out all of the drivers that MSI put on it so I needed to find all of the drivers. Now I had a new problem, every time I tried installing drivers, it would lose power. It happened over and over, no matter what I did. Without being able to have drivers it can't function, it's a veritable paperweight. So I went to the product page for support and that pointed me to the MSI page. When I contacted MSI, I was told that this was actually purchased from a Wal-Mart 4 months prior to my purchasing it so the warranty had expired. And when trying to contact the seller I got absolutely no response. Again, my recommendation is DO NOT buy electronics from this seller; honestly, I'd recommend not buying from this seller at all for fear of the quality, or lack there of, that you would receive.
