It keeps the headset cool and also keeps me cool. While I play beatsaber or vrchat or bonelab it helps keeps my face cool. The only downside is that sometimes its a bit noisy.

The form factor is good, doesn't seem to add too much weight.There is wind noise, which isn't terrible and normal game audio seems to drown it out.I got mine in June, now we're at the end of July and I think the fans are getting loose cause I can really hear them grinding when I turn my head.Hopefully it keeps chugging along cause I do like the face cooling. This is an absolute if you plan on being in VR for extended times, after easily 8 hours of play it keeps your face cool, the cord for it is super short and it fits into the headset perfectly.One thing to note is that it cools you and your headset, after awhile you'll feel a little warm an notice the breeze it brings into the headset

This pairs nicely with the index and matches its quality and feel while being small, lightweight, and quiet. (I can't hear if it's on or off unless I put my ear up to it.)I can feel the airflow and cooling, but it is not super strong, which is to be expected with tiny fans. You can tell all the air gets pushed THROUGH the headset, unlike other fan accessories where air just gets blown across the front face.By compromising some air flow, the weight and noise are so low that I would say this is a must have for any Index user, unless you have a cold playing space already, or you seek a more heavy duty cooling solution.

I used to have a dual USB fan that i had to duct tape to the 2 front openings of the index to keep the headset cool. had it on for about a year and it was really tedious to tape everything back on and clean the dust off. i would always accidentally hurt my fingers from the fans when i tried to position my headset. also the fans were audible through the mic, i had friends complain to me about how loud my fans were because they were on the headset. But with this KIWI USB fan, its compact, quiet, it does a pretty darn good job to cool off the headset from getting too hot. Im honestly a huge FAN of this Valve index fan that easily clips on your headet. it is a little bit pricey, but its sooooo worth it when youd rather risk getting your headset over heated, or having your headset with little to no heat for hours and hours of VR gaming. i play alot of beatsaber, so this does a pretty good heckin job. the sweating part is still an issue tho. so no matter what physically active game you play, this fan wont help that. but it will help dissipate the heat from the headset no matter what game you play. 9.5/10

After discovering the Valve Index absolutely melts my eyeballs while using my VR, I was recommended this fan by a friend who experienced the same issue.It clipped right into the headpiece with zero problem. It keeps the heat from building up on my eyes and that's much better than roasting my sight.However, the fan creates a little breeze that makes my eyes water instead. Although that's not the fault of the fan. I have awful allergies and my eyes find any excuse to water. Just a forewarning for anyone who has watery eyes as well.I highly recommend!!

The media could not be loaded. This product does its job very well. Just the other day I completely forgot I even installed this as I just got it. After playing, I realized how hot my index was and I turned the fan on and, wow, was I shocked at how well it was blowing hot air from the headset. So yes. It does a really good job at what it’s mean to do.With that said, are you prioritizing heat or sound? I see many people say it is very loud. It is not extremely loud. It is louder than I had hoped. It is 2 fans, so sound is expected. However yes, the sound of the fans blowing can be annoying. Sometimes people can hardly hear it when I’m in discord, majority of the times, others can’t hear it at all. As for me, I will hear it when the game goes quiet. This fan ramps up speed, so it will get louder the longer you play.NOTE: As I can only post one video, I couldn’t post the video where I had not played games before, and as stated, the recording isMUCH louder than in person. If I heard that recording I would not buy this product, but in person is is about 1/4 of that volume.So with this:Pros: - cools down your headset VERY well. - has a mostly unnoticeable breeze inside the headset, however it is enough to keep the lenses from fogging - fans are not loud enough for most people to hear in such things like discord or recordings.Cons: - There is noise yes. - The noise is not as bad as it sounds in the video, but if it bothers you to hear the noise inside a quiet game, then I wouldn’t recommend. - The noise again, I said can most of the time not be heard, however after hours of playing, the speeds of the fans will ramp up to a level that can be heard sometimes. Not all the time. But sometimes by others. And the ramp up in sound you can definitely hear while in a quiet section of a game.My thoughts:I think it’s worth it. If the fan noise gets too loud, well there’s a button to turn it off. Simple as that. You lose the heat dispersement, but you can always turn the fan on when you are done playing to cool it down. Then off after the headset has cooled down. Or you can turn it off when you’re in a quiet part of VR and back on later when you’re in the action with noise covering the sound of the fans.

I have to admit I was slightly skeptical that this would remove a ton of heat but it does work pretty well actually. After an hour or more of game play my headset would get fairly warm but with this thing running it's noticeably cooler. Worth it in my opinion

Brilliant product, when not using you can feel the heat on your face from the vr but with this it removes a lot of the heat. Easy to fit and easy to use with the touch of a button.

The product broke down after just cuple of mounds. Also the product is super loud evry 1 can hear it. "Update" I changed from 1 to 4 stars at first i contacted them and got shiped a car sticker.. som 1 madee a mistake. So the w8 for a new unit was kinda long but today i got a replaysment thay been nice and responsive abaut the situacion.The new unit is not laud as the first 1 so im thinking i got a faulthy unit from the start. This 1 seems to work fine for now.
