Pretty easy to install and thus far has been working fine. I guess I won't know until my trailer falls off the bike, but it is more likely that I will give out before this connector does.

After a year of pulling approximately 100 lbs averaging over once a month, I found I needed to add strength to the hitch as it began bending. I first made a prototype gusset out of 4ct building tie down straps (~ 3/16"T total) then went to a solid metal flat bar 1-1/4"W. I cut 5"L and rounding corners. I drilled 2ct 13/32" holes for the axle and hitch hub mount. A stainless steel 3/8"d x 3/4"L bolt with lock washer to mount hitch in which I also cut out for the key way washer that comes with the hitch using a metal cutting saw blade. A # 8 stainless steel 3/4"L bolt to mount as security to the bike frame tail drilled @ 3/16". 4ct #6 s.s. 3/4"L bolts (2ct top & 2ct bottom) of the hitch drilled @ 5/32" using cobalt drill bits to drill through the bar as also the 5/32" hitch holes (using a metal punch to start the bits cleanly while hub bolted and clamped at center top). Titanium bits can work but have a tendency to break. Keep the bits oil cooled while drilling. Being that I know the hitch is not for industrial use as I use it, for children involved, the gusset is the way to go for added safety. I recently ordered another hitch and again, extremely pleased with the fast shipping. Nevertheless, for the design I give it five stars.

we bought 2 of these so that my husband and I could easily switch between us who was pulling the boy in the bike trailer, he gets kinda heavy after the 4th mile :) This makes life so easy, with a quick pull on the locking latch and pull the pin we can attach and detach that bike trailer and swap him over to the other bike. Leaving it on the bikes when we are using them without the trailer is not noticeable nor does it interfere in anyway with normal riding or having them on the car rack. Excellent product thank you.

4 stars because expensive for what you get. But super easy to install. My bike has a quick release for the back tire (no bolts), and this worked. The item has little dimples that will perfectly sink into another washer (it comes with it) to help prevent the coupler from rotating. there is also a little notch that comes out that further prevents the coupler from rotating. You will need to find a spot on your frame where the notch can rest into. The manual recommenced a location that is non existent on most bikes. But that is ok, you can simply place the extended notch in the area where your rear axel would normally slide into the frame, the completely preventing the coupler from rotating during a bike ride. I know it may be confusing and it is hard to explain, but bottom line is the coupler works on any bikes and is solid, it will not rotate during a bike ride.

Fit perfect for the trailer and great durability. The design fit perfect for what we were looking for. Now we can take the kids to the park on our bikes. Worth it!!

What a time saver!! I bought this coupler attachment to use with my InStep Double Bike Trailer. This works perfectly. I put one on my bike, and one my wife's bike. This makes things extremely easy and efficient depending if I am taking the kids or my wife is. It is essentially a quick release for the bike trailer. I would imagine it works for any bike trailer, you just attach it to you back wheel and screw the nut back over it. What a time saver, no more switching the whole set up if my wife were to take the kids that day while I am at work. Definitely a must if you have a bike trailer and more than one bike!

Perect product. Does just what it says. We purchased the Schwinn Joyrider. It already comes with 1 coupler attachment, but having an extra one so that my wife and I can both have one on our own bikes makes family bike rides much easier. My wife will ride until she gets tired of pulling the extra weight, and then we'll pull over for a pit stop, pop the pin out, unhook the trailer, and hook it up to my bike. It takes no more than 60sec. - seriously. We leave the coupler on our bikes at all times. We do leave the pin with the trailer instead of on the bike - that way, whichever bike is not towing the trailer won't be subjected to a ratteling pin. We just keep the extra pin in the house in case the original is ever lost.

It was super easy to install, fit prefect and was what we needed for our bike trailer. Definitely would buy again if we need one. We got the trailer from a friend but she forgot to give us that piece. She realized after when she trashed the bikes it was still on it. We just guessed and ordered this one and it works amazing and fits like a glove.

I needed to buy only this part for my pull-behind for my kid after my bike was stolen and this attachment was of course still on the bike. I was so pleased to see that it was readily available on Amazon, and for a good price. So far it has been keeping with my expectations, so I don't see any reason to not give it the full 5 stars. Its not like I expected it to come with a free bike or anything...

Easy to sort out for our bike trailer. Super easy to install. So far 3 weeks of use and is in excellent shape. Highly recommend. Will be buying another one for my wife's bike.

It does what it's supposed to do. A bit expensive in my opinion. But I'll buy it again if I need to because it's strong and fits my bike 100%. Edit: had a little issue (I misplaced one of the pieces) and contacted support. They were responsive, kind and went above and beyond. I am so positively shocked by how great our conversation went... 100% recommended.
