I’m deficient in iron and have pica cravings. This edible chalk has that crunch and powder texture that I was craving. It tastes just how I imagined it to, like chalk and doesn’t have any real taste, so if you are looking for something with flavor or tasty, this is not it. It came packaged nicely and in tact. Six rectangular shaped chalk pieces. Nice and white, no yellow streaks. Tried one straight out of the package and it satisfied. Crunchy with the powdery texture after biting.

I'm not sure what tuber or whoever my son watched that got this in his head, but he asked for it for his birthday. So, I purchased it thinking it was a very stupid thing. He and his three friends tried it - all gagging on how terrible it tasted and hurrying to wash it down. Since this wasn't cheap I will indeed make him use all of it, hopefully next time he thinks before wanting to eat something so dumb just because an influencer had it or something. Do not buy this for your kids.

I read some of the reviews and i definitely agree that leaving it out for a day or two is best flavor wise. I tried a bite when it first arrived and it had that plastic taste. So I left it out for a few days and it made the taste a lot more pleasant. I don’t know how I would describe the taste but it was definitely very pleasant. I have tried some other edible chalk here on Amazon and the taste was like laundry detergent. For me, I only want the chalk for the crunch. I also crunch on cornstarch chunks. And this definitely satisfied the need for crunch. That being said I don’t swallow it and I wouldn’t suggest anyone to swallow it. It may be edible but i don’t think it’s necessarily digestible. But i will definitely be buying it again. The amount of sticks are good and a good size. A couple of the sticks were slightly broken upon arrival but that’s most likely just from the shipping. Would recommend and will buy again!

What I like: the texture when you first get into it and the over all crunch and feel is 10/10. The taste is okay but it’s what you expect. Chalky. What I dislike: every time I even have a tiny bit, I immediately get nauseous. The texture of it after it’s chewed up is mushy and pasty, and gross. Like dry wet cement in your mouth. So I don’t reccomend swallowing. It won’t kill you but it’s just kinda gross and you feel gross after. Yeah it’s not… amazing, but it motivates me to not eat inedible things. Helps cure my pica. It’s gross enough to make me not wanna eat anything except food hahaha

Update: I received an iron IV blood infusion from my doctor and I no longer crave chalk and dirt, please talk to your doctor if you are anemic. It will help you so much. Update: I’ve purchased it a couple times. My pregnancy pica is extreme. My last purchase was perfect. Not broken and super clean. No impurities or spots in it. Very soft and easy to bite into. I still spit most of it out since it can cause stomach issues. But chewing it is very satisfying so is the flavor. Also, I’ve found that taking iron supplements does help decrease the cravings. Clean chalk and a good amount. Mine was not broken. I thought I had pica because I was craving chalk even tho I never ate chalk before. But I could not stop thinking about it. Tried this and it’s good, the texture is nice. Flavor is kinda weird. I bought some freeze dried vanilla ice cream and it it similar in texture so I think ill eat that instead. Because I’m afraid to swallow the chalk. The ice cream also tastes better.

I have been going back and forth about buying chalk from this vendor. The main reason is the mixed reviews. I have huge PICA cravings, so I eat about 3 lbs of dirt/clay per month. I have been looking for a chalk similar to what I ate in my childhood. As I result I ended up here. I will only say that this chalk had my stomach hurting, I threw up a few times, I have a massive headache, and I had blood in my stool. I would not eat this brand of chalk. The taste was not bad, but I have a vendor that sales clean dirt and clay. I have regular stools and have never felt ill, especially waking up still sick.

I have ordered this product many times but something in the formula has changed. The taste is different, and some pieces have what looks like rust. I am unable to return so I will just toss it in the trash.

I really Enjoyed this product. I have but other chalk from other vendors. But they didn't Taste wright or they were to expensive.

I have severe pica and this really helps with the cravings ! I love the crunch and that it does not get pasty. Tastes best after you have aired it out for a few days..i have tried many brands and this is the best quality and taste-wise, for me . Does not give me a stomachache like some other brands i have tried...
