Best Headlamp of 2022
This light is everything it says it is, the brightness is spot on, the balance of weight and the keeping the weight down combination is excellent! Back in the early days when I was a kid, the wheat light, some called it the coal miners light was the only option, LED had been invented however it was always dim and used for signs and decorations at most. It was all about candles, which was the term used for how bright an Incandescent light was. They went through many upgrades over the years. All the way up to a battery that would last 12 hours on low beam, however the high beam would only last for 2 1/2 hours at best. It had its plus sides though, as it also came with two lenses, one red and one amber. My take on this Vastfire Head lamp is based on my experience with the old wheat light since this is in fact a hunting light and that's exactly what we used the wheat light for. This light will stay on high beam for a full 4 hours which is super! The low beam is only for 6 hours but a second set of batteries would last the full 12 and is much easier to carry than the huge battery that came with the wheat light. The strobe light will last a whole 8 which is awesome considering it is mainly used for self defense which is why it is at full brightness 2000lm. I love the 100° tilt adjustment and the zoom, I also have to mention the flashing red light and the battery indicator bar on the battery housing along with a USB charger port dedicated for emergencies to charge your phone. It by itself is more than worth the time, interest, and price! Its absolutely brilliant! I would love to see an upgraded version of this that would come with two lenses that can be attached for amber and red while maintaining the same brightness along with a second set of batteries but until that day comes where an upgrade comes to pass. I will absolutely use this light and be happy I have it!

Rugged and bright
This is a rugged headlamp ... very rugged. It's also very, very bright. This is built for someone who needs their hands free to work in the dark. Things that come to mind are a mechanic, changing a tire, riding an ATV, camping, fighting wildfire, and a myriad of other outdoor activities. I'm showing 4 images - the case as it arrived, the light and battery pack, my house lit by the headlamp, and walking up a road in total darkness, (with my dog ahead of me).The battery pack contains 3 large rechargeable lithium batteries that would likely last an entire night. The lamp is a multiple-LED flashlight lamp with an adjustable hood to narrow the beam. There are 3 cycles - high beam, low beam, and flash. The photos were taken in low beam. This would be an excellent headlamp to mount on a hardhat or helmet. It is heavy but that's not an issue once you have it on. I wish that the straps were a bit longer but that's a minor issue. I'm keeping this lamp in my truck and it will be especially useful when RV camping.

Stupid Bright
I fish at night almost exclusively. Not really picky about the gear I buy and will use just about any foreign POS gear. This head lamp is probably the toughest and brightest light I've owned. Including $200 spot lights. As far as toughness goes. I've dropped it in 4' of saltwater, fished it out with a cast net, threw it in the woods after losing a fish, dropped it on the dock then stepped on it while fighting a bull red (pictured). The people writing bad reviews on toughness are trolls. As far as brightness, I can spotlight river shrimp 3' deep in dirty water. The ONLY complaint I've had is the bands don't adjust far enough out but then again I have a giant ass head so...... oh and it takes a while for it to charge. Other that that I get about 7 hours of use switching back and forth between the dim and bright modes. Friggin tank for a light. Buy it.

Not impressed
Short take: don't waste your money.1) claimed brightness levels are a lie. The description doesn't even agree with itself. One line says 100000 lumens but says 10000 two lines down. Doesn't really matter; it is bright but I can guarantee it's nowhere near either of those claims.2) difference in brightness levels is almost imperceptible.3) true battery life can't be determined because it apparently overheats quite easily and shuts off.4) square 'spot' with cross hair appearance is very disorientating.5) an instruction manual to point out the need to unwrap the batteries so they will actually charge would be helpful.I've read the positive reviews and am wondering if I got a Friday afternoon special because what I received seems to be the definition of false advertising. The old adage is still true. You get what you pay for. Price point is cheap because the product is a typical Chinese piece of junk.

Comfortable to Wear Considering Size & Weight
This headlamp weighs just under 1 pound. It is comfortable because the adjustable band is wide and soft, and the weight is distributed between the front and back. I fully charged the batteries, then turned on the front light and left it to test the battery life; after 5 hours, it was down to 5% but the light was still bright. I doubt that anyone would use it continuously for that long so I think that’s pretty good. The night vision light is okay - in order to use the hand waving, off/on feature for the headlamp, both lights need to be turned on and you need to wave near the red light. The headlamp is a very wide angle but can be zoomed down to a small square light. I like that the battery light is so visible and also that there are red lights on the back so the wearer can be easily located.
