This is a simple effective product and very reasonably priced. It is easy to install. I wish we had known about this product before my daughter smashed her finger in the door. We were able to use this on two doors. We just put each piece at the height where fingers are most vulnerable. If you have children, these should be a standard in your home.

The material is too thick and I cannot shut the doors after installing it. In addition the adhesive covers did not come off easily, taking half the adhesive off with it. I had such high hopes for this product since my youngest child loves stuffing their fingers in door hinges while my oldest likes to close doors, but was very disappointed that I can’t even install them because then the doors don’t close!

I do not have kids but got these when we had an incident where our dog got his ear caught in the hinge of the door as it was closing. This is perfect and now we can close the doors without issue. We also put them on the fridge thanks to a cat that would try to stick its paw in the crack when the door was open. No more stress when closing doors. Yay!!!!

Works for my apartment. Looking at the material, I just don't understand why it cost that much. the design is great. I have a two year old at home, and my uncle is constantly worry that her tiny finger might get hurt, he recommend this product and now we just have to worry about other trouble she can get herself into.

This product is great ,but i made it even better by using 6 screws per piece to secure it to the door and frame. If your worried about damaging the woodwork ... it's worth it to save hands and fingers and the pain that would result in a mishap. Kids always put their fingers in doors . The tiny screw holes can be filled in later on. Not a problem at all. Buy this product it's worth it ! You will need at least 4 pieces per door and 6 would be perfect for the front and back of the hinge area. Don't put it off !

Having a kitten that liked to stick his paw in the crack of the door at the hinges made me nervous, so...I bought these and put one up. I didn't have a lot of hope of it staying in place, since the door is used a lot, but...it's nearly a year later and it's still perfect! I'd only put up one when he was little, then found out the hard way when he was older that he could reach above the protector, so...I installed another one. Now it's cat-proof! I only wish they came in white to match my trim.

We installed it on three of our doors. The adhesive did not work at all, so we needed to use staples. The harmonica broke within weeks from installation so a total waste of money for us.

Very easy to install. I even repositioned it once, though I don't think I could reposition it more than that (it's not designed to be moved!) it totally works, and the door still closes.
