My barber has a similar brush and my hair always looks better after she brushes it, so I decided to look for one that looks like hers. I found it! It's big; it's solid; it's well made; and it works! I'll have to take them at their word that it's made with real boar bristle, because I haven't touched a real boar since 1952 at my uncle's Kansas farm ( he--the boar not my uncle--had some very stiff hair, I do remember that) but whatever it is, it does a great job. Full disclosure: I am male and over 70 with a full head of thick hair. After 50 years of cheap supermarket hair brushes, I finally hit the jack pot with this brush. I also discovered the perfect barber six years ago, so it's been a good decade so far. The only complaint about this brush came from my wife who said it takes up too much space on the vanity. Too bad, she's had territorial rights for 52 years, now it's my turn. I also found the perfect beard trimmer on Amazon this year...I hope my barber doesn't read this, otherwise she'll think I'm trying to drop her and do my own hair care. Never.

This is the brush I never knew I needed. I've been dealing with very frizzy hair lately. After using this just a few days I noticed softer, smoother hair. I love it. Now makes brushing a fun part of my daily routine. After using this for about a month my hair is the softest and healthiest feeling it's ever been. I was worried that cleaning it might be a little complicated. But I just did it and it really couldn't have been simpler (other than not having to clean it). If you're on the fence about a BBB I highly recommend this one. It's a quality brush for a great price.

I have my doubts that this brush is 100% boar bristles. It goes through my semi-thick hair easily leaving it shiny and straight. I will continue to use it.

The bristles are to soft. I read the reviews and I know other people were saying the same thing but I have thin hair so I thought it would work. It really doesn't. I can only see it working on babies. The brush itself is great, it's built nice, it just doesn't seem to work well.

I used to have a cheap boar bristle brush with synthetic fibers, however, it ruined my hair and tore it up due to bad quality. I did some research and found that bad hairbrushes are commonly the culprit of bad hair, so this is in my opinion a good investment. While this is not a miracle product, it has kept my hair less lumpy (that feel you get when your hair needs washing). I can forgo washing my hair for another day because this spreads oils all over the tresses. It doesn't tug hair , just runs through it smoothly. Highly recommend if you have dry hair or oily roots, and in need of gentle brushing.

Awesome brush that came earlier than expected. I've started participating in the "no-poo" movement where I quit all hair products including shampoo and conditioner. Although my hair does not get that oily, this brush was able to distribute the oil I did have nicely and left my usually bushy hair into a nice, smooth wave. Price is very good for a quality brush like this. Thank you :)

I bought this hair brush two and a half years ago but I have been using it for about a year and a half. As a natural hair woman I often wear protective styles to avoid manipulating my hair. So I don’t really use the hair brush. But since a few months I have noticed that the bristles come off every time I use the hair brush. It’s very annoying to get them all over my hair. For that price I was expecting a better quality product with sturdy, durable bristles. Yet the hair brush is soft. I f they improve the bristles quality it will be great.

I actually love this brush. It has the right firmness and its made very well. I love the real wood and it surpassed my expectations. You can tell this brush is built to last. The bristles are of good quality and it feels great on my hair and scalp. It does not feel like it is tearing my hair out or scratching my scalp, however it is detangling like it should.
