Spend the money for the good stuff
Amazing what using a quality product does.I have been trying to use "that cheaper brand" of helical grease sold on amazon and could not figure out why, no matter how well I ultrasonically cleaned the parts, it felt rough and sticky. I broke down and bought this much more expensive brand and regreased a lens I had previously used that other stuff on (after cleaning even trace out and ultrasonic cleaning the parts) and it is a night and day difference. The lens is now literally smooth as silk, with the perfect amount of drag, without having to play with how much I applied to get the feel right. Just slathered it on with a brush, assembled and feel absolutely perfect.I can't say enough times, don't waste your time with that other cheap stuff. It's a total waste of your time, this grease is what you want for rebuilding a camera lens!
