Nisekoi: False Love, Vol. 1 (1) Paperback – January 7, 2014

This is a must-read crossover manga comedy for guys and gals. Its on a par with Love Hina for comedy and lighthearted romance (high praise!), without the nudity (not that fanservice is a bad thing!!!). The art is very comical, at appropriate moments, and you can laugh just at the faces they make. But unlike so many harem manga, its not some useless guy surrounded by one of "each type" of girl.The male protagonist, Raku, is "average" only if you don't know him. He's actually caring of all his friends, courageous and not a pervert. In fact, the only thing that's hard to believe is how innocent he is! But this makes the love polygons work well, and you can't help but cheer for him. Though, really, I'm actually pretty jealous. How could he be so lucky?The two female protagonists are Kirisaki and Oonodera. Raku already likes Oonodera, but that's all. He's thrown together with half-gaijin Kirisaki, who like all semi-American stereotypes is brash and hella fun. Oonodera is a Yamato Nadeshiko. Frankly, she's too good for Raku. Raku should die for his too timing ways. I'm so jealous! I don't care if it is not his fault. He doesn't deserve to live!Ahem. I mean that Raku, Kirisaki and Oonodera are not one dimensional or predictable. Or perfect. Except Oonodera. I'm in love!Light-touch romance, comedy and sweetness. Harem comedy perfected. Rated E for everyone!

This is my first Vol of this series, The story is good and funny. Make me laugh a lot. The art and also good. Cute and moe girls. Give it a try if you are looking for a harem/comedy/romance manga to read!! You will love it just like me!! I planing on getting all of this series!

First, Amazon thank you for the prompt delivery!God, the moment I received the volume and open it up... Ahhhh the smell!!! This is my first manga purchase (note: My first order was High School DxD but it isn't out until 5/27) and I'm completely satisfied with the product. The book looks great and there were no blemishes or ripped pages. And, ohhh the smell of the new book it was wonderful.If you like romance/comedies with some actions then jump aboard the Nisekoi train. The story is about a boy and a girl who were separated after one short summer 10 years ago. They made a promise and use a lock and a key as mementos of that promise. Now, Raku (the boy) is about to meet the girl to whom he made that promise long ago the catch... There might be more than just one key.

I not going to lie, I was looking at a different manga, and was given was a "you might also enjoy this" and they were right. As for the plot, the story follows Raku, the sole heir to a yakuza clan (Which he wants nothing to do with) who one day meets a girl named Chitoge who jumps the wall and lands on him. After the two spend a few weeks together looking for a locket that has meaning to him, the two agree to never speak again. However this turns to be a problem because while the two were looking for the locket, a rival gang has been attacking raku's group. but just as raku and Chitoge go splitsville, the rival gang agree to a ceasefire. If the heir of the yakuza and the rival gang agree to go out while in high school, they will call off the fighting. and (big shock)the rival's heir is Chitoge. the biggest I want to continue reading is while their is going to be an anime, it is going to be released by Aniplex so I going to keep reading instead.

The manga is more discreet to the counter part tv show but it pleases fans with its own creative humor thus making wanting to read than watching the series. P.S. This show truly makes it nerve wrecking when it comes to plot twist over plot twist constantly waiting who his the girl he might one day love forever with his promise he wants to fulfill

To be honest, I don't usually like Shonen Romance manga, because they usually conflate 'romance' with 'fanservice', objectification with actual love. At least, that has been my experience. I"S was just not my thing.Nisekoi is more of a comedy, however. And it works. The main three characters are all likeable. The energetic, cartoony-at-times artstyle really fits the ridiciulous situations Ichijo falls into.Shonen Jump doesn't really bring over a lot of Shonen manga that aren't action focused, so if you like this kind of manga it would be good to buy a copy and show some support.If you liked this manga, I might also recommend Wild Ones, a shojo that also deals with Yakuza family romance.
