can you add this to shampoo and it absorb in your body still?

you can add it to shampoo. However it wont give you the same effect as taking it orally. I personally think that is wasting the product.

Is this biotin from a vegan source? If not from what?

It's been quite a while since I've even use this brand but what I do know is that it made me break out and I had a allergy attack with it and my lip was swollen I take regular biotin pills all the time and never had this problem

Is this product only 1% Biotin and 99% Dicalcium phosphate?

Yes, that is correct but it still is very strong and you have to be very careful with the amount that you take.

What is the expiration date of this?

Mine expires March 25 2016. The manufactured date is March 26 2014, so apparently it lasts in the bag for roughly 2 years.
