The package of green tea extract was in excellent condition and actually arrived on time for overnight delivery, rather than late the following one or two days, as Amazon so often does. I weighed it on my scale. It weighed in at 9.2 ounces which is slightly heavier than the 8.8 ounces stated on the package. I habitually weight my packages, because I buy a lot of powder supplements and there are certain companies that have a habit of shorting the customer. I find that Bulk Supplements never does that, which is good. Bulk Supplements sometimes ships me supplements that are a little too close to their expiration dates, which is very annoying. It often leaves me with very little time to use the entire package, so then the whole purpose of buying in bulk to save some dough it pointless. This time, it worked out OK, though. The "Best Used By" date says that the product should be used by May 31st, 2027. At the time of this review, that would give me a little over two years to use up the product, which I think can easily be done. That makes me happy. The serving size for this green tea extract is 500 mg, which the package states is about 1/5th of a teaspoon. The package did not come with a spoon for measuring the servings out, which I find disappointing. Bulk Supplements used to supply small, plastic serving spoons or little scoops inside its packages for that purpose. It doesn't appear to be doing that anymore, which is kind of sad. Now, you will need special measuring spoons or a scale that can measure in milligrams, if you want to be precise. The green tea extract seems to be pure. It lists no other ingredients or additives, which makes me very happy. I like it when the suppliers keep the products free fillers and other unwanted things. The extract powder itself is very fine. It is not gritty at all. It has an orangish brown color to it and it smells lovely. It has a sort of sweet fruity green smell to it, like fermented black tea. In dry form, it tastes awful. It is very tannic and bitter. However, it mixes extremely well in my hot beverages without clumping and the flavors and smells that it imparts actually melds quite well with some drinks, such as in hot chocolate with cinnamon or with coffee. It kind of gives the beverages some mild fruity notes. I'm not a fan of green tea, but I do like its health benefits, so being able to mix the green tea extract with something else to mask the flavor and to make it more palatable is ideal. Otherwise, I have to fill capsules. Over all, I am very happy with my purchase. It was well worth the money I paid.

I will tell you the 4 things I liked and then the one thing I didn't about this product. First of all It works very well, I have been using this for a week now, I wanted to get a chance to really see if this was going to work before I gave it a review, & I'm glad to report it does. I have gotten Polyphenols from different places before, But it is my first time getting them from BulkSupplements. I guess it should have been the first place I looked to get them. The reason I say that is that I have never been disappointed with their products, so why stray just to see how other products rank...the short of it, they don't. The tastes is superb. You can mix this in your moring juice or drink it as tea. The price with BulkSupplements is outstanding, that & the fact that you are not compromising on quality is very important to me. The product was shipped & arrived quickly which I love. THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING is the same as other reviews have stated, is for some reason this particular bag is hard to reseal, even though it's supposed to be resealable. That is not a problem for me at all because I don’t leave my powders in the bag anyway I always put them in mason jars, but I could see someone having problems with that if they don't have anything else to put them in...BUT THEY STILL GET 5 STARS FROM ME

I love Bulk products but the sealer on every bag I buy it is horrible, couple opens and don't work anymore, they should change the packaging method , also the measurements are insane , 1/5 tsp , 2/5 tsp ?? I need to Google all the time and not even there I find the answer ...

I ordered this supplement after reading the purity levels and accuracy of labeling on labdoor.com and they were rated #1 Green Tea supplement compared to 25 other brands. The lab report states that 270mg of catechins +150mg of caffeine combined have been shown to aid in weight loss. The caffeine content of this brand and all other brands were recorded well below the 150mg of caffeine daily. It was measured at 1.07mg/serving. The bag says to consume no more than 500mg of the supplement per day so I'm assuming the 1.07mg/serving of caffeine is measured at 500mg. If you take less than that then you obviously get a lower dosage of caffeine. The bag also states not intended of use over 3 months time. Since the caffeine levels are so low I'm not sure why that is the time recommendation. I've had this supplement for about 1 week and I take 360 mg/day because I only have a 1/8 tsp at home not a 1/16 tsp for the maximum dosage. My daily routine consists of going to either run or yoga at 630 am and then coming home and blending myself a protein shake and that's when I add the 360mg of green tea. I can't taste the supplement at all and I do notice that I get an instant jump of energy to help power me through the morning. I've never been a coffee drinker so even though this supplement has a low dosage of caffeine, I can feel it's effects pretty quickly. I have noticed that my I'm not as hungry after drinking the protein shake mixed with green tea as opposed to drinking only the protein shake after my workout. I get hungry about 11-1130 which is perfect timing for lunch. Since it's only been a week that I've been taking the supplement I haven't noticed any weight loss but maybe that will change as time goes on. I'm a 5'8 female and weight approx. 148 so in about 2-3 weeks I'll come back and update this review to see if any weight has been lost. Overall I would say that this supplement is beneficial to have even if it does not help with weight loss, the green tea is highest in antioxidants that fight free radicals in the body and aid in a smooth aging process. It's always hard to figure out which supplement to choose from due to there being so many which is why I'm grateful that I was shown labdoor.com who make it easier to find the purest and most beneficial supplement!

However, as a layman bodybuilder I can honestly say the materials that I sourced through Bulk Supplements have helped me increase muscle size and strength quickly while minimizing recovery periods. Issues with muscle recovery have limited my physique for years but I felt uncomfortable using supplements (due totally to my ignorance). Recently I decided to give it a shot. After much reading and evaluation of appropriate materials for my first stack, I felt comfortable enough to proceed. I found after a few weeks that my muscle recovery and growth have clearly improved without adversely affecting my health or using questionable substances. I have also noticed the side benefits of heightened focus and increased memory as well. Again this does not quantify the quality of Bulk Supplements products but it leads me to believe that they provide exactly what they claim. (I feel that a placebo effect would explain the significant decrease in muscle soreness that I expected but would not explain the surprising post workout pump and growth which I did not expect at all). I know there are pricy packaged pre/post workout cocktails out there but I like measuring out the exact amounts of the materials I want that are appropriate to my size, diet, timing and regimen. It requires thoughtful reading, organization and a willingness to experiment but I believe these results are more rewarding (and the process more interesting and engaging). I have placed this review on each of the items I have ordered from Bulk Supplements as I will only give my personal opinion on products I have direct experience with. I decided to start using my nutribullet and add various spices and seeds to hopefully begin a journey to better health. Unfortunately I'm not a gourmet taster, but blended together with a few greens and a bit of fruit I have been enjoying downing them. I can't say for certain what each individual ingredient has done, but the combination has been working. I also was given some essential oils that I have been using too. I am mixing: beautiful love organics raw cacao, terrasoul raw cacao, healthworks raw cacao, viva labs raw cacao, seagate products lemon powder concentrate, bulksupplements cranberry extract, bs ginger root extract, bs cinnamon bark extract, bs beet root powder, bs 5htp, bs hyaluronic acid, bs 95% curcumin, bs 50% green tea, dualspices nutmeg powder, now foods inulin prebiotic fos, hoosier hill farm paprika, quinoa, sesame seed, flax seed, hemp kernels, raw pumpkin seed and chia seed. The bulksupplements products are very fine powder, not strongly flavored, mix very well into smoothies or peanut butter; but they can get messy fast. I ended up a bit sticky and stained, but I did mix enough for a couple weeks. We have been not wanting to eat for 2 to 4 hours after getting up and not wanting a third meal. We are dreaming like we're insain. Momma is pooping like she hasn't pooped in years. My heartburn is gone and blood pressure is slightly down. I'll try to add more if I notice anything else happening and can attribute it to any individual substance.

I missed the reviews that talked about not including a spoon to measure. So, I haven't taken this yet because it says a serving is about 1/5 of a teaspoon. How do you measure that? If I hadn't opened this already looking for a spoon to measure a serving, I would send this back. It might be a great product, but you have to guess on the serving.

I really liked this product. It mixes really well in water. I mix it in my water bottle and I add a couple slices of lemon to hide the bitterness. I feel alert and I have more energy. I try to avoid drinking too much caffeine, if I have coffee I wait a few hours in between drinking this. FYI this product does taste bitter, do not expect this to taste like green tea. This product is completely different than the green tea that you drink. If you mix it with something else you won't even notice the taste. The powder is also red, do not compare this to normal green tea because it is different. I would recommend this to anyone. I would buy this product again. I got the 250g bag and this will last me a while. You could also buy empty capsules and make your own green tea caps.
