Den of Vipers: Central Banks & the Fake Economy
S**S
WOW! What a treasure of a book!
Den of Vipers explains in layman's terms how money is created; how it is used (as directed by commercial banks); different vehicles employed in its investment and their strengths and shortcomings; the fragility of the present, global fiat/debt-based system; the societal cost of ZIRP and negative interest rates; the shortfalls of cryptocurrencies; and much, much more. In more than 600 pages, the reader is given a crash course in understanding money in all of its aspects. As a long-time practitioner of monetary economics, I either learned or saw a different slant on things - many times - than I had previously experienced. And it's eminently readable with no formulae to obfuscate things. My highest recommendation!
