These brushes are amazing. They are pleasure to use, and quite compact. I found this set at a great price also, less than half the retail price for some reason, sold and shipped by Amazon. A minor issue is that the lettering came off after a few uses. I'm thinking of it as a feature now though. I called Silver Brush about the lettering when I noticed it. Ed answered the phone and mentioned a few customers saw the same. I worried that I might have purchased a knock-off product but after a few questions, Ed was sure that I had their brushes. So, that was a great experience actually -- I talked to a competent, friendly person, and had all concerns addressed. I used an acrylic pen after all, adding the brush size to the cover/handle. Works great, looks cool.

I bought these brushes back in highschool for less about five years ago, when I saw the price, I can't even be mad. Let me tell you that these brushes still have their point and still hold a lot of water. I threw them in my backpack everyday when I went to school, they fold up so nicely. I am a avid watercolor painter, doing multiple paintings at once, and these are the brushes that I use. I love these brushes so much, I only was looking around on here to see if I can replace one that I lost. I can say they do show their age on the writing on it. I can no longer see any of the writing on any of the brushes, so I put tape on the end to mark which one is which. I love the size of them folded up, and they're so comfortable to hold and use. This brush set was the best purchase I've made as an artist.

Brushes are good. I got the travel ones. They are light. For this price, they should have come in a case like other travel brushes do.

Love love love these brushes. I’m new at watercolor painting so I have been using the more cheaper kinds but upon using this it puts down color so much better than any cheaper generic paint brushes I’ve ever used. This is highly recommended by professional artists so I just had to try them and I don’t regret buying them at all. I love to travel and paint wherever I am so these travel brushes are just the perfect size for my tiny travel painting bag.

I got these for their small/convertible sizes based on a recommendation. I was on the fence about the price tag, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the great quality. I have used them for months now and the tip of the brush still maintains that shape when I first opened these up. Even with the thicker sizes (4, 6, 8), it is possible to get very thin lines as the tips still come to a point after dozens of uses. I would definitely recommend these. Although my intention was to use them outside, I mostly use them at my desk mostly because working with water media needs some additional prepping. My only small negative criticism about these brushes is that they tend to roll away sometimes because of the cylindrical shape.

These brushes are very nice - time will tell if they keep their point and snap. The packaging, however, is terrible! They are glued in along the length of the brush. When the brushes are removed, they have sticky glue where they are held. It is very difficult to remove. I’m very tempted to send them back!

I had a larger silver brush and I really liked it so I bought this pack. Wow! These brushes are delightfully functional! The points come right back. They hold a good deal of paint and are exactly what I wanted. One disappointment was the separation when using the largest brush in this set. It recovers well but caused issues at the time.

Silver brushes are fantastic for watercolor painting. With a mix of squirrel and synthetic it holds water and paint well and has good spring. They are somewhat delicate however these travel versions do a great job of protecting them! I wish Silver would make more travel brushes in other shapes (flat, dagger, etc.)!
