Great Product, but be sure to check what they send you.
First of all, this is a great product. I went from having to use three surge protectors daisy chained together to fit all my adapters, to only needing one single surge protector after utilizing these handy little extensions. As far as my purchasing experience, I initially ordered one pack (of 5) extensions, which was sold by a third party company named Miriam Holdings LLC, but fulfilled by Amazon. The extensions arrived loose in a plain white box with nothing on the box or extensions to make them look like they were of any particular brand or anything. Yes, they did look exactly like the picture here on Amazon, but that's all I had to go by to make sure I had the right product. After unpacking everything, I moved on to test each extension, and low and behold, one of them was defective right out of the box. I guess the internal connection of the female plug was messed up in some kind of way because no matter what I did I could not get anything to plug into it. The other four extensions worked great though. They did exactly what they were supposed to do.So, upon contacting Amazon about the single defective extension, they told me that since the item came from a third party company, they could not do an exchange but could only do a full refund. Leaving me with no option, I went ahead with the return/refund, and ended up ordering two more five packs to replace them, but this is where I realized something else.Upon receiving the new replacement order, again from Miriam Holdings LLC, and fulfilled by Amazon, the extensions came in sealed clear plastic bags clearly labeled with the Ziotek brand this time. No plain white box. Also, I noticed that the extensions looked a bit thicker this time too, and since I still had the original five extensions (didn't ship them back right away), I compared them side by side. Low and behold, the original shipment employed a thinner 18AWG wire, not 16AWG like advertised, not good.In a nutshell, be sure to check ALL of your extensions to make sure none of them are defective, and also make sure you get the 16AWG extensions as advertised, and above all else, be very critical if you get your order in a plain white box with no labels or anything on it. I'm not really sure what happened the first time around, but if it weren't for the one defective extension I never would have realized that I got the wrong product.I give the correct product (as advertised) five stars, but had to deduct a star for the total screw up the first time around.

So useful! Why didn't somebody think of these sooner?
Well, I guess someone did think of these "sooner", I just didn't know about them. I have so many big and bulky power adapters that plug into the power strips under my computer desk that cover two sockets. It's such a wild mass of cords under there, that I hate to have to connect or disconnect anything because it takes so long to get cords untangled and trace them to devices. With these extensions I was able to actually get rid of one power strip because now I can use each of the outlets in the other two. These are good, heavy cords and plugs; nothing flimsy about them. I think the 14 inch length is just right for organizing the different adapters and keeping them out of the way. This is one of those products that's so simple, but so useful. I'll probably order another set for that dark, scarey place with all the cords behind our TV and home entertainment center.

Great accessory to free up space on your power strip
If you have a workspace or area with a lot of big power brick type devices (as in the picture) this is a great accessory that lets you use all available plugs on your wall or power strip. The only reason this is not 5 stars is the price - seems a bit high for what you get (5 molded plastic plugs with a short length of wire) but it does its job well.

Such a simple but highly useful product
I have many power strips and surge protectors because I have various guitar pedals and such that all use wall warts. In many areas I have more gear to plug in than I have outlets and few surge protectors really cover all the bases. Some plugs have HUGE boxes on them... others have thin long boxes so no matter what type of surge protector I have, it always seemed impossible to end up using all the plugs available. This solves that issue. It might not look great asthetically, but these are more about applications where the functionality matters more than that. It is a high quality product and getting five of them gives you so many options... if you need to use them all on a single strip, fine. Otherwise, use just however many you need across other strips. These worked perfect for me and I am going to buy another set just to have them on hand... simple concept... but extremely "empowering" pun intended... ; )

Would work, but not as advertised
Similar to others, I received extension cords that were not exactly as advertised. I received 18 AWG cords with no indication of manufacturer. 16 AWG is a larger wire and can therefore handle slightly greater current. This product will work for most typical applications, but I purchased it specifically to have the beefier wire. I bought from Amazon, not a third party vendor. I returned the item for a refund. I might try another vendor, but don't know if I might get the same thing. I have followed the recommendation of another reviewer and will try the "Stanley 31372 One-Foot Cord Max Extender, 3-Pack"

Bulky power adapters? Problem solved.
I've had these for about three months now and they did the job that I needed them to do - make room on my $20 power strip by moving the block power adapters so I can actually use the other plugs. I saved myself nearly $40 in buying a new power strip to accommodate for the extra room I needed to fit the larger power plug-ins for my computer monitor and speakers. I only needed to use two of the five I got in the pack, but it's good to have the extra since there is always a chance I may get something new with a bulky adapter plug.My recommendation: if you've got a power strip or surge protector that works and don't need one of the newer, larger, and (supposedly) more economical ones for any feature other than more room for the bulky power adapters, this is your tool.
