Great supplemental resource for school
Great supplemental resource for school. I usually let the kids color while I teach the lesson. It helps them focus. I love all the history coloring books from this publisher. Detailed coloring pages for all ages.

List of Women Included
This book has a nice variety of famous women, hitting all of the well-known women in African American history as well as several I had never heard of. Eleven of these women are also featured in the "Great African American Coloring Book". Parents of very young or very sensitive children might want to preview the explanatory paragraphs as a few of them mention difficult topics. The women are arranged in roughly chronological order.Since I was trying to find a full list before purchasing (it does have Ellen Craft!), here you go:Phillis WheatleySojourner TruthHarriet TubmanMary Ann Shadd CaryFrances E.W. Not Perfect, But Very Good
I liked the simplicity of the drawings not being overly detailed, and the brief bios. However, though the bios were very informative, I was disappointed with the illustrator's failure to capture the likeness of the featured women. I've seen several of these women in various forms of the media, and would not have recognized them had it not been for their name printed beneath the illustration.
