I've used Feather blades for over a decade now and they never fail to get the job done with minimal effort and maximum efficacy. I use them with a Merkur 37c Slantbar razor. In just one pass, the Feathers can take down a 10 day heavy stubble growth (2.5-3mm length) like bulldozer in a forest, very quickly with no missed spots. No irritation, no stinging, cuts, bumps or burns, provided of course your pre-shave routine is done properly.This quick one-pass shave should be clean enough for most men if you're just looking to look clean on a daily basis, thus the myth that DE shaving is time consuming is instantly dispelled. This is actually a fraction of the time it would take if you were to use a multi-blade cartridge razor.If however you want to go closer and perform more passes, then these blades can also get you baby smooth too!However, I do find with some Feather blade packs, you may get the odd dud blade which blunts after 1-2 shaves, otherwise I can get 4-5 decent shaves from a single Feather blade.I thought i'd give this mixed pack with the Personna blades a try and was pleasantly surprised by the shave quality of the Personna blades too. They feel less aggressive on the face than the Feathers but appear to be sharper in the way they cut the hair - there's slightly less resistance and more slickness when compared to a Feather and I found the Personna blades last slightly longer before they start to go dull.If you're new to DE shaving, I wouldn't touch these yet. Get used to less sharper blades like Merkur, Derby or Wilkinson Swords before you take the plunge with Feather/Personna. As good as they are, if you make one slight wrong move, there will be blood. Get used to the grain map of your face and learn which areas of your face are prone to cuts. Then work out the shave angles and directions that gives the desired shave without the damage. Once you master that, the shave experience with these blades, coupled with a good heavy duty DE razor will be unmatchable.

I previously wrote that these blades were not as good as the Wilkinson Sword barber blades I had been using before.I hadn't remembered that I had switched shaving soap from Proraso Red to TOBS sandalwood of which I found that it needs far more water retained in the brush to get a smooth lather. Once I had readjusted, the amounts, the blades became every bit as good as my previous ones.I have changed the rating from three stars to the full five and offer the suppliers my most profound apologies.

Dopo aver sentito decantare le lodi delle lamette feather in quanto tra le lamette in circolazione più affilate e taglienti, ho deciso di provarle sebbene sia un neofita nell'utilizzo del rasoio di sicurezza. In questa opzione d'acquisto sono abbinate a delle personna. Devo dire che le feather sono fedeli alla loro fama, anche troppo, provate su di un Edwin Jagger mi è stato impossibile terminare una rasatura senza tagli, è andata meglio con le personna che trovo taglienti si ma meno aggressive sulla pelle delle feather. In conclusione non credo che ricomprerei le feather in questo momento, sebbene mantengano quello che promettono, mi sembrano "troppo" per la mia pelle, la mia barba, invece mi sono trovato molto bene con le personna, mi hanno dato ottimi risultati

Appena scartata una lametta Feather si ha l'impressione che sia di scarsa qualità tanto è sottile. Provata su barba di 3 gg con rasoio closed Edwin Jagger DE89L ha regalato una rasatura perfetta con solo due passate e senza contropelo. La senti grattare sui peli ma in realtà taglia in profondità senza taglietti. La prossima rasatura la proverò con Muhle R41 ed allora dovrò stare attento a non fare danni. Lame all'altezza della fama ma un po' costose. Le Personna le avevo già provate e sono ottime per una rasatura profonda ma in sicurezza con closed ed open. Le consiglio insieme all'Astra Verde.Oggi ho provato le Feather con il Muhle R41 ed ho ottenuto una rasatura perfetta con due solo passate. Qualche piccolo taglietto ai bordi della labbra e nulla di più. Cmq da usare con mano leggerissima. Ottime

Ottimi prodotti, tra tutte le marche provate penso siano le due migliori, le ho utilizzate entrambe con un gilette fatboy e diversi saponi e creme da barba, le personna sono più docili, perdonano abbastanza dagli sbagli, ma con due passate, una nel senso del pelo e una in contropelo si ha una rasatura profonda e ottima, le feather sono invece le Ferrari delle lamette, tagliano tantissimo, le più taglienti mai provate, con una passata si riesce quasi a raggiungere la qualità di rasatura senza fare il contropelo da quanto tagliano, perdonano poco, con entrambe sn riuscito a fare 2-3 rasatura anche in base alla lunghezza della barba prima che iniziano a "grattare" un po. Consiglio questo kit in maniera da provarle e farsi un idea

I due marchi proposti rappresentano il top per qualità di affilatura.Tuttavia questo si paga in termini di durata della prestazione: Feather (le più affilate in assoluto) mantengono un elevato livello di affilatura per un paio di rasature poi si normalizzano, le Personna (leggermente meno affilate all'origine) possono arrivare a quattro rasature poi si avverte un deciso decadimento, che non vuol dire che siano inservibili.Non sono lame da principianti (Bolzano o Derby andrebbero meglio) né tanto meno da rasoi approssimativi, il rischio di tagliarsi è elevato, siamo al livello di lame chirurgiche.

Uso gillette da una vita ma incuriosito dalle recensioni mi sono convinto di provare queste lamette. Buone ma torno alle gillette
