The stopwatch has a nice heavy feel to it. I use it for timing speeches and occasionally use the clock and alarm functions. This particular model, the 2-lap metal version does not have backlighting. The regular clock function works well. The buttons feel solid and responsive. There is a setup process, and I noticed another person ranted a rash of complaints, but he obviously didn't read the manual, because instructions were there on how to set the clock, alarms, and turn off any alarms and chime features and pretty much set it up as you like. So, if you lack patience, are prone to fits of rage and don't like reading instructions on how to set things up this isn't for you. But if you want a really nice looking, simple, solid metal stopwatch and are willing to read the instructions to set it up, I recommend it.
