This food is definitely worth the buy. It’s got a great mixture of fruit, bugs, and fish food in it that quite honestly surprised me. The best part is the Hermits never get bored of it! It’s an all you can eat buffet for them that never grows old! No more guess work as to what’s going to tempt them to come out and eat today because it’s got a little of everything. There’s all different sizes of dried mealworm in it and shrimp. Really it’s a complete and balanced diet all the way around. The literal ONLY thing that I would change is to break the dried banana up into smaller pieces. My Hermits are still quite small adolescents, I will find the banana chips scattered around the crabitat like they wanted to eat it but the pieces remain whole almost like they can’t break off enough to eat or store inside their shells. So thankful I found this food. Will definitely keep ordering. Also small business, handmade, label even says it was made by Dawn… Dawn I don’t know you but thank you! Excellent job and you deserve a raise!

Really good quality crab food. I like how it's actual bits of stuff and not just pellets. Crabs ate the crap out of it.

I'm so excited to have found this product. I normally feed Crab Daddy and Mamma Claws from the kitchen. However there are just time I need a back up plan. I've tried some other well known brands. While I was impressed with them Crab Daddy basically tolerated it. Mamma Claws is a garbage disposal. She likes everything lol. From the first feeding he has really eaten this so well. Just dust and maybe a piece of banana left. I will say I agree about the size of the banana chips as other reviewers. I just break them up or if it's one that breaks easy, I'll leave it for thembto crunch up with their claw. Yesterday when I was changing their food and water he poked his head out of his coconut house. I greated him with pets and singing. (He likes his big claw and front legs rubbed. He ducked back in. I figured he had enough visiting. Going back to sleep. Next thing I know he's back. Banana chip in claw. LOL. I've NEVER seen him take snacks to his houses. He just chucked it out. Not sure what that was about. But for me him liking it enough to take it to go was a great sign! Maybe Mamma normally gets them first. Not sure. I was pleasantly surprised just how many little different tasty bits are in there. Plenty of insects. Yes the bag is little but it honestly goes a long way. Instead of a back up plan, this has been added as a side dish with their daily feedings. Give it a try. Happy Hermie Homies!

I recently got two hermit crabs for children. We are doing well with feeding and watering every day. Of course feeding fresh vegetables and such everyday is a slight chore. We have gone to giving fresh vegetables every other day, and dry food every day. This food seems to be sooo much better than the standard pellet food I have purchased with other brands, and, the crabs seem to LOVE it. It is dry and easy to sprinkle from the bag into their feeding bowl. I feel like they are happy with it too. We often see them eating in the dish during the day, where, with other foods we have given, we have only noticed them feeding at night.

This is my just purchased bag of food and there is an important reason why there isn’t much left in it LOL. My hermit crabs go nuts for it!! Well crabzilla, he’s a really big boy and doesn’t respond to much beyond rice but when we got this food he sat in the dish and went to town for about an hour. I have never seen my boys like a food so much. When you say on the label that it’s hermit crab food that hermit crabs actually want to eat? That is 100% true. Everyone should have a few bags of this food around if you love a hermit crab. It is worth the cost to see the way that everyone lights up for feeding time. My little hermies loved this food. It's not stinky and they love it more than any of their other foods. You get quite a bit bc you don't need to feed them that much of it. The only thing I didn't like was the giant pieces of banana in it bc it was hard to break up for them. Has chunks of peanuts and whole dried mealworms. I was very happy with it and will buy again! They even take it out of their dish and bring it into their hut for a snack for later ;) So cute i'm so happy with this deff worth the 8 bucks.

The crabs all came out of hiding when I put this food in there. They really like it. One word of caution is that the description mentions nuts and pecans but the package I received contains peanuts. My son is allergic to peanuts so I probably would not have bought these just because of that and the chance for cross contamination if he’s handling or cleaning them. Thought I would mention for others that may be allergic.
