TONYKO Anti Gravity Inversion Boots for Stress Relief and Fitness

I just received my Tonyko Inversion Gravity Boots this morning and was pleasantly surprised. The first thing that impressed me was the product was double boxed with another (sturdier) Amazon box. The original didn't look very sturdy. Nevertheless, my shipment made it to Alaska with no problems within 7 days.Upon unboxing the product, I noticed the boots were wrapped clear plastic and no documentation followed. As far as appearance goes, they look exactly like they do in the picture. The other main thing I noticed was the weight of the product, which pleased me. It was much heavier than I previously thought.The foamy part of the leg cushion feels like thick armaflex to me. It looks like its held on to the metal bands with adhesive only as far as I can tell. It seems to be forming a good bond to the locking metal band so I have no concerns there. The band and the hook feel as if they're both made out of steel. Not sure on the thickness, but judging by the weight and the fact that I can't bend it at all there's no doubt it's strong enough to hold my weight (180 lbs) no problem.The hinge that connects to two bands together is connected with three rivets on each side and folds smoothly back and forth evenly with no deviation. The latch looks like a draw type and locks down tight. Overall, I feel like this product is solidly put together.After inspecting the boots I felt really confident about putting them to the test. I read in another review that there was concern about the hooks coming off the bar because of the rounded part being fairly wide. For me, this wasn't a concern as I have a 1" diameter pull up bar. If anything though, I am going to keep an eye on this. I noticed that when I do an inverted sit-up it's best to keep my body stationary and make a controlled movement to the up position. Personally, it just seems like bad form to not do that as well.One last thing. After a few inverted sit-ups I noticed something. I was barely able to get back to the start position to lift the boots off the bar. I forget to mention that they do include a little strap in the box. Maybe it has something to do with this, I don't know, because their wasn't any documentation provided with mine. One thing that I thought about doing is using my dog's leash to throw around the bar to pull myself back up. Or you might also use it as a safety that you could attach to a riggers belt.Update 9/23/17: A few things. The dog leash and the riggers belt is unnecessary in my opinion. These boots have held up fine, but it's worth being sure not to handle/use them roughly either. I wear leg socks with mine to protect the foam and also make sure not to scrape them on anything because the foam can/will tear. To stop the back/forth swinging while inverted just touch the ground/wall/etc. and catch yourself. Do your repetitions slow and controlled and keep your lower body steady as to avoid movement of the hooks on the bar.5/5 stars.

I'm 6' 214 lb's. If like me you love inversion and have a Teeter table (or other) but hate the Teeter anti gravity boots these are WAY more comfy and WAY easier to get on and off. I suffer from lower back sciatica pain and inversion is incredibly helpful. However the original anti-grav boots from Teeter are just miserable to get on. So much so that I stopped trying. These boots have solved that issue and I'm once again hanging upside down much to the relief of my lower back!

I have used an Inversion table system for many years. Recently it has been too hard on my feet to use. I ordered these boots to try to adapt to what I have and it is working out just fine. The boots are well cushioned and sturdy and have been helping avoid the painful pressure issue I was having on my feet with just the bars on the Inversion table. Very please with this find.

good quality well made feel safe hangin in them real good on the back feel great after hanging and doing upside down sit up's I'm 70 years old and these feel great to hang like grandpa from the munsters and i do these exercises after a triple by pass and a defibrillator insert within the last 2 yrs. also this is the 3rd pair I've bought my first being purchased in 1972 when I was in the Navy, these are awesome even at seventy helps loosen stuff stuck to the walls of your stomach, and other innards using gravity to break the build up in your digestive tract, man these are cool you should get a pair your mate will love them to helps loosen fat and builds your abs Wont hold you if your more than 250lbs. don't do it drunk or on Drugs not good for you anyways. just thing brings knew meaning to just hanging around!

Material / Build: OK.Price/Quality: OK.Design: I don't like that the manufacturer released one universal product size for everyone (ankle and calf thickness). Of course, I understand this is done to save costs (and increase profits), but it is inconvenient. The diameter of the brace is too large for my leg; therefore, when hanging for more than 2-3 minutes, it leads to discomfort in the feet, which forces me to stop the exercise. Yes, of course, you can wrap your feet in a towel, as some YouTubers advise, but I would like the manufacturer to consider customers' comfort and release several sizes of the product model.Despite the product's theoretical advantages, the practical implementation falls short. I rate it 3 out of 5 points.Do I keep the product or return it? I'll leave it because there are few alternatives on the market.

I just bought these for my husband and I am so glad that I didn't listen to the naysayers. These are very well made. Lots of padding, heavy duty latches with a safety clip. They are very comfortable and fit people of many different sizes. My 200 lb husband and my 110 lb daughter can both fit them and are both secure and comfortable. The price is amazing!! Thank you for a great product without gouging the consumer.

I have pretty small ankes, but these work for me. They are supporting my foot mainly on the heel and top of foot without any discomfort. They don't feel overly heavy to me, but feel solid enough that I'm not worried about something failing.The strap I have found helpful, and they have a lock over the latch for some added safety.I have not used other boots like this so can't really compare, but they feel very solid. I was worried about my foot becoming uncomfortable, but it isn't so even slightly. I'm not usually in these for more than 10 minutes at a time.

Great Replacement for my 20 year old boots. Boots do run a little small but fit me fine. I am 5 foot 10 and don’t work out much and barely fit my ankles. Locks are very secure. The home is soft and cozy. Works for my application considering the only other ones I was considering we’re double the price. Would buy again. Hope I helped.
