I received it poorly packaged with a label on it that said Made in China!!!

These wooden forks are wonderful, very light & smoothly finished.

After 6 or so months they looked pretty bad, maybe this is just a fundamental limitation of wooden cutlery though.

I bought these because my wife is very sensitive to the sound of a metal fork on a plate. They are beautiful, sturdy, quiet, and easy to use. The wood is very strong and very well finished. Typifies Japanese sensibilities. Very happy with this purchase so far. Hand washing to extend their life. Dishwashers tend to destroy wooden utensils.

I hate the feeling or taste of metal utensils. I also get tired of using plastic utensils. These are great!!! Are easy to clean. They are durable and I use them every day. Do not put them in the dishwasher just like any wooden product they are not dishwasher safe. I also buy the spoons and knives. Everyone that uses them loves them..just beware that when they start to wear down you will need to replace as the worn wood can cut you...but these are a great product and I will continue to use these.

The workmanship and finish are very good. The tongs are sturdy and work just like you would expect a fork to work. I generally like these. But the handles are a little too long. They are too long to fit in my silverware tray. If the handles were about 1-1/2 inches shorter they would be perfect. Update: I've grown to enjoy the long length which adds a degree of elegance. Still don't fit in the fork slot of my silverware drawer, but somehow I don't mind. They are very pleasant to use.
