I normally don’t buy such a large size of any seasonings because they last so long; even though this specific type of seasoning comes in several sizes, this was the smallest size available. I needed some type of seasoning to use on some of my foods as I am no longer allowed to use salt because of medical reasons. I had been offered this Perfect Pinch Signature Seasoning as an alternative to salt while I was in the hospital & I liked it. It is a very complimentary flavor that has garlic powder & onion powder as the main spices; it was excellent on my potatoes & my eggs; I think this combination of spices could be good on almost anything. For me, it is a good quality & since some foods need a little something to give it a boost in flavor, it is of a good value for me.

The hospital I was in serviced this as the salt substitutions. I really like the flavor. It works for me. I really like it with cottage cheese. Too the point that now prefer it over salt and pepper. I haven't had a chance to use it on all my usual dishes. But so far I enjoyed it and it made not having salt not as grime and dull. Tamed the grouchy beast. I am an experienced cook, and my husband and I have both become accustomed to, and prefer, well seasoned foods. Seasonings are not meant to dominate the tastes of your food, but to enhance flavors. My husband recently had a blood tests done that revealed his sodium level was much too high. This is due primarily to the fact that he had been using so much salt on his food. Since most seasoning already contain a large percentage of salt, this was adding to his problem. This seasoning includes so many herbs and spices without including salt, and the flavors added by this seasoning have greatly reduced his use of salt. The ingredients of this seasoning include: - Onion - Garlic - Black Pepper - Parsley - Celery Seed - Bay Leaf - Basil - Marjoram - Mustard Seed - Rosemary - Sage - Oregano - Red Pepper - Savory - Thyme - Coriander Seed - Cumin - Orange Peel - Red Bell Pepper - Carrot - Corn Syrup Solids (which I'm not hot on) - Citric Acid - Lemon Juice Powder - Lemon Oil If you are into herbs and spices in cooking, you can see the ingredients of the seasoning would be good in and on almost everything. There are some times that adding salt before cooking is beneficial, but I don't normally add salt in my cooking since this can be added later to taste. This seasoning is amazing sprinkled on steaks, chicken, pork chops, and fish as well as an addition the water used when pressure cooking roasts. I add garlic and onions in addition to this seasoning when pressure cooking roasts. After removing the grease with a gravy strainer, pouring the juices back into the pot, add back the garlic and onions in the strainer. Mix a couple tablespoons of cornstarch to 1/4 cup of water, and add this to the pot. Use an immersion blender to blend in the onions and garlic, and cook the gravy to the desired thickness. This gravy is more flavorful than anything you can buy in the store. When I have leftover gravy, I freeze it for future meals. I obviously recommend the seasoning, and would recommend it. This was good for a no sodium seasoning, it seasoned my food very well and tasted on my food. I think it is very over priced for this size of seasoning. I purchased it because I could not find it in the grocery stores. I was given this seasoning in packets at the hospital for my low sodium diet and I loved the flavor. This is the only place where I could find it. I gave it a rating of 4 because in my opinion it is so overpriced.

Now that I need to watch my sodium intake. This spice is so perfect for many of my dishes.
