Shredders Away - Good Job Too
Can't fault this piece of useful equipment. Very easy to set up out of the box and simple controls for on/off and reset that are protected by waterproof see-through covers. Powerful motor that dealt with some very thick and knobbly branches. I did get one jam which caused a cut-out but was easily remedied by isolating the shredder, removing the top cover to reveal a short wedge of wood that had stubbornly refused to get shredded. Put it back together and within a few minutes after pressing the reset, I was back working again. The assembled unit isn't too heavy. The wheels help. However, being a narrow axle the unit tends to tip on rough surfaces when being towed. That being a minor issue, I can't mark it down. The upside is the reasonable price for a nice bit of kit that has helped clear up a part of the garden covered in branch cuttings some of which were 5ft (>1.5m) long. The chippings are now scattered under the base of the tree the branches came from so, another bonus!

Great tool
Just used this for the first time and I was pleased with the results. Fairly simple to put together, but insert the axle in the legs before putting them into place on the body. The shredding mechanism worked well on the thin branches I had to dispose of, but it is quite noisy to operate up close. There is an excellent long electric lead which means I could wheel it over to the pile rather than the other way round. The unit feels sturdy and is ideal for what I need. I donโt have any larger branches to test it out, but it was good with what I had.

Good quality and functional.
We had been considering buying a garden shredder for a long time - but we were put off by almost every shredder having some quite negative reviews - even the expensive ones. A local gardener suggested this one - and it has exceeded our expectations after a few uses. We were advised against spending a lot on an expensive one. The shredder makes short work of the prunings from the garden bushes and trees. A big heap of prunings produces about half a bag of fine shreddings which can then be spread as a mulch. Feeding the shredder is easy enough, and woody bits up to about 1.5cm diameter disappear quickly. The push tool helps the leafier bits go through. Sure itโs quite noisy, but itโs quick. The wire is plenty long enough and seems good quality. The shreddings all end up in the bag supplied - it is very functional for our needs. The machine seems to be well made and quite sturdy. Assembly was easy enough. Itโs on wheels, so is easily moved. It is stable enough in use. I wish weโd bought this a few years ago.

Not fit for purpose
This item is a complete dissapointment, it is rated to shred garden waste up to 45mm, yet it would get blocked with bits even 10mm. From first switching it on there was a burning rubber smell, which I can now only presume was the drive belt. Strands of rubber came out of the fan port (I didn't know what it was) until the blade stopped spinning, although you could hear the motor still spinning. This might be why it struggled so much chopping up anything as the belt had started breaking up? I didn't even get two full bags before it stopped working, and I was continually opening it up to declog it as small bramble branches would get stuck. Advise not to buy.

Effective and good value
I'm very impressed. I bought this to replace a much more powerful Stihl machine which I've had for many years. It was very effective but overkill for my needs and the motor finally gave up. I've given this Hyundai a good hammering since I took delivery with a large volume of hedge clippings and fresh green matter. It blocked once because I put too much in. It was very quick and easy to open it and clear the blockage. Just feed in small amounts at a time. If you have to force it in with the feeder tool its too much. That's when mine blocked. The bag is useful but I found that a standard plastic trug under the outlet works very well too. So far there's no sign of the blades going blunt. In any event they can be sharpened, and a replacement set costs a fraction of what I was paying on my old machine. So a big thumbs up!

Great Product
This is the 3rd different brand of have purchased of the last 10 years. So far this is the best. TOP TIP THOUGH. ALL brands seem to jam up if you put in branches that still have lots of leaves on. The odd leaf is fine, but too many makes the chippings damp and they get stuck in the machine and cause a jam. I have been stripping the leaves on to the ground and then go over them with my hover mower. This cuts them up really well, and sucks them up, so they will compost much quicker. The chipper also makes very small chippings, which is great as they will also compost down quicker. ANOTHER TIP; This chipper comes with a bag to catch the chippings. Remember to keep an eye on the contents. They tend to build up at one end of the bag (the bit you can't see when you look down) and if you don't clear it before it reaches the bottom of the machine, the chippings can't get out and it causes a jam. The only minor downside is the wheels are too close together. This is not a problem whilst in use, but when you are trying to get it out or put it away and you are manoeuvring around things, it tends to fall over. All in all, it feels well made, works well and I am very happy with my purchase.

Almost perfect, but!
Iโve had this machine since July now and I have produced a lot of mulch and chipped bark. It does prefer dry wood but soft green needs a bit more care. I did find the black pusher tool to be ok but I found a round stick about 30mm to be better for pushing the stuff down. One of my main gripes as been the debris that blows out from the bag, the problem with the bag is that it is just loose at the front, I did a little hack by taking the paper snap holder off a clipboard and pop riveted it onto the front, that holds the bag great and has solved that problem, so a lot less cleaning up to do now when I use the machine.

Unsuitable for professional use
Very noisy (most, if not all shredders are) so wear ear protectors when operating Need to keep exit clear to avoid the unit being blocked - switch off and remove power completely before clearing Unit overheats if operating for extended periods, particularly for large, difficult to cut branches - just take a break and once it cools down it will restart Plastic pusher broke after 3 weeks (replaced with wooden one)

Faulty
Stopped working after two uses only!

It will cut
Works great. Just make sure you don't put too much leaves in at a time or big sticks. Small brush from yard/garden cleanup to make my own mulch. I've sharpened the blades a few times. If shipping wasn't so expensive I'd get a bigger machine but this will do for now. The output is not always consistent. Sometimes it makes sawdust, sometimes flakes and sometimes like longer shredded sticks. It probably depends on blades sharpness and the type of material going in.
