Q: Does it make your hair still feel soft or does it become crunchy? How strong is the hold of it? How shiny is it?

This is a traditional gel. It makes your hair hard and needs to be washed out in order to restyle. It is brown in color. If you have lighter hair, it will show. The hold is strong if you tie your hair down with a scarf while it dries.

Q: Is this for all hair types?

Yes, but it's a heavy gel and is really used to "glue" down some hair styles. I am African American with micro braids (extensions) I use it to control the edges of my hair. I apply the gel to my hairline, wrap it with a scarf until the gel dries. It looks great particularly if my hair needs braiding and there's too much growth between my hair and where the micro braid begins
