Vet's Best Finger Dental Wipes for Dogs & Cats, Fresh Breath, 50 Count

I’ve been using this on all of my dogs and purchased over 20+ times on Amazon. The product it self works and I can tell my pup’s teeth are cleaner with less build up. Wiping is much easier than using tooth brush without getting the sticky toothpaste residue around my dog’s muzzle area. However the last order I received probably had a hiccup in manufacturing process. I noticed that half way through using it , it had a funny smell. I took a closer look and noticed that there are tiny green coloring on the wipe. At first I thought it was the “mint” particles and then realized it is mold. Luckily Amazon has a painless return policy.

I have a sensitive older dog who lost a number of teeth, so I've been figuring out what she'll tolerate. Dog toothbrushes just don't seem soft enough (the handles). But this finger wipe is something she will tolerate, and since I can't accidentally poke her, I can reach all of her teeth better. She seems to like the taste, and I've been surprised to see what comes off her teeth after each session.

Worked well, but didn’t taste good. Product started to grow mold, but that was after the expiration date.

I am torn about writing this review as I have generally had good luck with these wipes. They do tend to dry out within a month of opening and they just don't work as well if you simply re-wet them. I do want to mention that I have ordered this product 17 times over the past few years, and really love that the wipes completely cover your finger. That makes it much easier to clean your dogs teeth without losing the wipe in their mouth. This particular package of wipes had mold grow between the wipes not long after I opened it. It wasn't just a few spots, some of the wipes were covered in mold. I had read some previous reviews about this issue, but kept on buying them since I hadn't experienced that issue. Now, I am moving to a different brand as I don't really know why this particular carton of wipes turned moldy. I think there may be better brands that won't mold!

My beautiful 12 year old Aussie has never liked any kind of teeth brushing. I must have tried every single different type of product I've seen over the years. We didn't like doing it, because she was obviously uncomfortable with the size of the brush, the taste of the toothpaste (multiple kinds), etc. She would cough and gag for a long time after we were done. She REALLY didn't like it. We do give her treats that help clean her teeth regularly, but sometimes, you just need more, you need a brushing. She doesn't mind too much if it seems like it is just your finger. These slip over your finger, so as I put my covered finger in her mouth, she thought I was just looking in her mouth. I was able to scrub some places that really needed a good scrub. After I was done, no coughing & no gagging. She wagged her tail and strutted off. PERFECT! EASY! It really felt like it did a pretty good job. Price is right, too! I love that they come pre-moistened. It has just the right amount of moisture for a good tooth rub without over doing it. Obviously the taste is ok - this dog is super picky. I would certainly recommend this product.

These finger wipes work great! I can actually see the tartar coming off her teeth and onto the wipes. Her breath smells great after. I recommend getting the toothpaste from the same brand because in combination, they work great! My dog usually hates having her teeth brushed, but she licks the finger wipe while I clean her teeth because she loves the taste! The wipes are a little big on my finger which is great because it can fit larger fingers also.

I bought these 11 months ago and have used them infrequently. When I took them out today, they were dotted with mold. I can’t read the expiration date on the bottom of the box but I imagine they would last at least a year. I’m not sure when the mold first occurred because I haven’t used them in a few months.

I have a 7-year-old Golden Lab mix and have been using Vet’s Best Dental Wipes daily - absolutely love them! They’re incredibly easy to use, even for a dog who’s not a fan of toothbrushes. I just wrap one around my finger, do a quick swipe over his teeth and gums, and we’re done in just a few moments. They leave his breath noticeably fresher, and I feel good knowing I’m supporting his dental health without the stress of brushing. The wipes are gentle and effective, and the price is very reasonable for how many you get. Plus, Vet’s Best is a brand I’ve come to really trust - I have used various of their products and continue to be convinced of the quality. Highly recommend for any dog owner looking for a simple and affordable way to keep their pup’s mouth clean and healthy!

This is easy to use as a cleaner but your dog may need some training in terms of having his or her teeth cleaned. The dental wipes provide a shin as well to the dog’s teeth and also refreshes the breath level of the dog. I will recommend you use this product prior to feeding, and later at night after feeding, when there is an empty stomach or all food stuffs are previously digested. Nothing is worst than nausea in a dog and and the creation of an upset stomach from any type of anxiety that teeth cleaning with wipes or toothbrush can generate. Luckily, my dog allows me to clean his teeth, but even this was achieved after a spell to get him use to the idea his teeth and mouth will be cleansed. However, as for the product I’d give it a recommendation. The finger cot type fitting to the finger also can be additionally fitted over a latex glove and can still be manipulated with ultimate ease in spite of your wearing the additional latex gloves.

I really liked these for my tuxedo cat's plaque issues, since the flavour was appealing to her and putting it on my finger really allowed me to be gentle with her and let her control her level of comfort for the grooming. When I bought this, I was considering purchasing a dental care kit for her and this was my first approach to the subject with her, since she has some rotten little teeth that can't be removed yet but she's never been particularly accepting of help. I did find the way this container seals to be a little strange, since if any of the finger sleeves dry out, there doesn't seem to be any excess fluid which replenishes that unlike say a baby wipe container where there's always extra cleaning juice leaking out, you know? It might just be my distracted brain, but I also tried to make sure the lid was closed and still came back to find the finger sleeves quite dry. I remedied this with some warm water because my cat didn't seem to enjoy the dry texture at all so that's the only reason why this isn't a 5 star purchase for me - I think the packaging lacks some long-term vision. I understand that if I had burnt through this package in a month or so it might not be relevant, but my cat doesn't need her teeth wiped down that often. It's a great value in terms of amount of finger sleeves for the price, I just wish they stayed as fresh as they felt when I first broke the seal. Otherwise, really recommend! My cat's breath definitely seems less stinky and I did dislodge some considerable plaque and old debris with these sleeves, which was the goal. I think I will still be seeking a future dental care kit for her though rather than relying purely on these. Overall, a really good product if you're looking for an easy way to get your pet used to dental routines! I just wish storing them felt more efficient in the original package.
