Great strawberries that bore ripe fruit in 45 days
These strawberries arrived in great condition and I put them in the ground right away and they thrived. I ordered 10 received 14 and 12 survived. I've seen some insane photos of the growing conditions here in the reviews, these won't do well lying on bare dirt, they are strawberries not dirt berries. They won't do well in plastic pots either the roots can't aerate and will become pot bound and the plants will be stunted and never recover. You shouldn't repot them either because grown strawberries are very delicate, plant them immediately in their final home with lots of mulch or don't blame the company for your failure. Plant store mulch won't do as it's too dirty, they need brown compost like dried leaves or straw or small sticks free from dirt. When you water it should not touch the plants and if you're using city water you should let it sit out in the sun for at least a day before to get rid of the chlorine which will burn the plants. I live in zone 9b where it's notoriously hard to grow things like this, south texas summer sun will kill plants like this, during summer I plan to move them under a tree for protection. I ordered them on February 7th and planted them on the 9th and have fertilized them twice. I recommend mixing organic fertilizer in the dirt and supplementing with miracle grow when they start flowering, organic fertilizer ties up the nitrogen fixing bacteria in the soil. It took 45 days after planting to get ripe fruit. This seems like a good company, live plant sales is a tough business so try to work with this company before giving them a bad review.

The Absolute Best!!!!
I got these 4 days ago, submerged the roots in some water in a small bucket, waited 30 mins, then planted them in a mix of the following: 2 parts Miracle Gro Potting Mix, 1 part Miracle Gro Garden Soil, 1 part fine sand from Lowe’s, and a few tablespoons of Expert Gardener Plant Food for Acid-Loving plants. I moistened the mix with water, cut the roots to 5 inches long (because they were full and beautiful with leaves already budding) and then planted them. What you want is to plant them with the top of the roots at the soil line (it doesn’t hurt the plant at all) and make sure to add sand to the soil mix for drainage. THREE DAYS LATER: they are reaching for the sky with new leaves already forming! I got one extra root and EVERY ONE OF THEM ARE THRIVING AND ALIVE! If you are not ordering from this company you are missing out! Excellent value for the money! Shipped quickly and immediately started growing! I will leave another review in a month’s time! Side note: I live in SW Louisiana.

Dead , Dry Strawberry plants arrive in mail
Bad news with these plants. We planted 40 of these plants this spring and every plant was taking off in dark garage this spring. We kept roots moist till we put all them in ground. They looked great, we gave them a good drink after planting. My rich black soil with some 5 yr old compost added to richen the soil. We thought these would shoot up like crazy. As the spring ended and summer arrived all but 5-6 of these plants died off. I complained to seller, they asked me to dig up all plants and return them. A couple weeks later seller sent me 40 new plants. They looked like the same dead plants i sent in. Plants were dried out from riding around in hot delivery truck. I emailed seller asap and they assured me these were not the dead plants I sent in 3 weeks ago. I wet ahead and replanted all 40 of them. Like a fool thinking they were going to come to life !! I needed a miracle. Anyways, nothing came of these strawberry plants.

Very pleased!
These seem very nice! I received 12 bare root strawberry plants (2 extra!). There is no dirt in the package. Just the strawberry crowns with long healthy roots. They provide thoughtful planting instructions. We ended up planting half in our garden and put the other half in our aeroponics system as a test (this is our first year using aeroponics). Because it was bare root, it was super easy to insert them into our system. It's been a week and all seem to be thriving! I will try to come back and update at the end of the season.

Overall, quite pleased with product.
Pro: they gave me a couple extra in case not all took root. Con: despite that, only 8 rooted. Pro: those that did root are now thriving and already producing fruit. Some also have produced rooted runners so I suppose that makes up for the ones that didn’t make it. Attached photo was taken 5 weeks after planting.

Buy this!
I rarely take the time to write reviews (good or bad) but this product and company deserve praise. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone trying to grow their own strawberries!! Earlier this Spring I had purchased a bag of 40 bare roots strawberries from Sam's Club...diligently followed the instructions and planted 10 of them..waited and waited and nothing. Not even one little leaf formed. I was so disappointed and couldn't figure out what I had done wrong. I contemplated buying a strawberry plant from Lowes or ordering this. One strawberry plant at Lowes is about $5 ...this was just a little more but 12 roots so I figured hey if even 2 grow I've already got my money's worth. Well, received my roots followed the instructions that arrived with them and I kid you not by weeks end there were nice green leaves forming and not long after strawberries! Out of the 12 roots only 1 did not take but I think it may have been root rot from too much rain. So now I have 11 healthy thriving strawberry plants. Will definitely be ordering these again and recommending to everyone

Best in 40 years of strawberry plant ordering!
By far the best strawberry bare roots I have ever received in 40 years of gardens and ordering from places I knew, and places I didn't know. They were well packaged, protected from damage and they were large! The ones I had purchased never made it, they looked dead when I opened them and they probably were. Follow the directions, make sure to keep them in the fridge until you plant them. Just wish I hadn't waited for the duds before ordering these because most crops around here are in bloom, so they are getting a late start. I don't harvest the first year, just let them grow. Next year should be awesome!

Buy the strawberries
So I’ve actually ordered twice from this company. The 1st order arrived an hour after I left for the airport to go on vacation for a week. My own fault for several reasons, but the point is that I forgot about them for almost 2 weeks before I got around to planting them. 4 out of the 11 didn’t make it, but the rest are growing & seem to be thriving. I placed my 2nd order earlier this week & they just arrived - the crowns look fantastic. I put them right into water per the instructions & will be planting them today unlike last time. I would highly recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality strawberry crowns. Update: the strawberry plants have sprouted nicely & I have a ton of strawberries growing. I did order another set of crowns this year. Received 10. I followed the instructions & 5 out of the 10 have shown signs of coming to life but unfortunately that means 5 didn’t make it.
