Linda Eder, one of the greatest contemporary voices of our time, reunites with Frank Wildhorn on Now, marking the musical return of this legendary team. After six years apart, Eder and Wildhorn collaborate to recapture the magic that began over two decades ago with the international smash hit, Jekyll & Hyde. Linda s voice is the perfect compliment to Wildhorn s compositions and Now is the album the world has been waiting for. Now features signature Wildhorn music in collaboration with many of the acclaimed lyricists he has worked with over the years including Leslie Bricusse (Jekyll & Hyde), Don Black (Sunset Boulevard), Maury Yeston (Nine), among others. Of special note is the track The Mad Hatter , from Wildhorn s highly-anticipated Broadway show Wonderland (opening April 2011).

What a voice...but...
This is one great voice. The choice of material is very limiting for her, however. If all she wants to do is to sing things like Broadway Show tunes, she'd be right on the mark. But her appeal could be so mo much wider. She could sing anything. Her's is one of the great voices I have ever heard, but, alas, A whole album of the same thing, sounding like it came off Broadway is a but much for me. Comparisons with Streisand are enevetible on such material. She compares very well. But this album could have been so much more...She seems to be painting herself into a box here. It should have immense appeal to folks enamored to this type of music. And they'd be right. But, she could have made an album for the ages with that voice. This is an album for folks of narrow interests, is my take on it.I can't wait for her to broaden her material selection a bit...that should be really killer.

No Better Voice Among Popular Singers
It is definitely a joy to anyone who appreciates good music,to listen to Linda Eder. No other contemporary singer has the natural gift and polished delivery of Linda Eder at her best. Her best is when the purity, range, enunciation, breath control, and power of her voice are fully displayed. This shines best when she sings a ballad. Her sensitivity comes through to evoke an emotional response from her listeners. It is a minor tragedy of our time that vocal excellence is not featured by the reigning arbiters of popular music. Linda Eder is, quite literally, a talent of operatic calibre. This beautiful woman is a delight to hear and see.

Linda warming up to the music
It's her voice which I admire & have followed her since Jekyll. Some of these songs while very good do not resonate for me. Her voice is the catalyst. Anytime, anywhere when I can, I see her in concert. The richness & quality of her vocal capability is best in a dramatic type of song.

the best is yet to come
Just when you think it's all been said, done, written and sung, along come Linda Eder, who just simply continues to WOW with that incredible voice of hers..Just as pleasing is the reunion with Wildehorne..the two should have never parted professionaly..She does what only she can do with her rich interpretations of his wonderful music.Simply mahvelous..Smoky, sexy, I have lived, been there, done that and survived..What a woman!! Sing on, Linda..I am forever a fan..and just a little mention of the song," No Finer Man"....No finer song!!!!!

Best female artist
She is my favorite artist. Her voice is just flawless and the music is catchy, big band some, some swing and some of her older songs. Her voice is right in line with Barbara Striesand but her style of music is more contemporary. I've seen her in 4 concerts and two musicals. You will not be disappointed in the quality of her voice.

Another one from an excellent talent
I like this because it is by Linda Eder, who can do no wrong in my book I don't feel it is the best she has done, but it does have good songs done in a good way. Nothing can beat her "Linda Eder" disc, however.

Linda's At Her Best, Again
Just recieved Linda's new CD, NOW, and it is a long awaited mix of the songs that Linda, and Frank Wildhorn do best. I would recommend this album of songs to any one who likes music, performed by one of the most amazing voices today. The song, A Woman in His Arms, and No Finer Man are worth the price of the CD.

Exceeds Expectations!
Although I have seen Linda eight times in concert, she continues to move me with her songs and incredible voice! I knew that NOW would be great but I wasn't ready for how great! The entire cd is perfect but standouts for me are the title song, NOW and Living in the Shadows. She just keeps getting better!

A Truly Unique Voice
Linda Eder's voice is sultry, melodically plaintive, and immediately recognizable. She's one of the few artists whose albums I'll purchase immediately on release. She blends popular music, jazz standards, and Broadway classics, branding them with a style that is all her own.Her new album, 'Now' is particularly exciting, because it marks her renewed collaboration with Frank Wildhorn, who wrote some of her best known songs. Linda's voice is in top form, but the disc itself isn't as cohesive as some of her previous offerings. The songs from 'Now' feel like stand-alone pieces that were stitched together for an album. Each melody is unique, and exciting, but varies dramatically in temper. That being said, any Linda album is one to treasure. Her remarkable talent supercedes any narrative flaws. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for this amazing artist.

Who?
Linda Eder is a terrific Broadway style singer, good range, clarity and a lady who sings with balls! She records quite consistently yet she is not a chart topper and not much known in Europe, apart from die hard musical lovers (theatre). Her tribute album to Judy Garland is one of the best for me,also her recording of "A New Life" from |Jekyll & Hyde is a tear-jerker (and I saw her perform it on Broadway in Jekyll when she literally stopped the show!)Linda Eder is more MOR/Easy in her category,a star performer who deserves hit records but is probably not likely to get them in today's pop charts as she may not be considered 'kewl'.I certainly hope she does continue to record and make good albums, record company budgets considered. NOW is a very good taste of a confident singer, check out her earlier works too, most of which are only available on import in the UK, a country she has yet to perform in.
