Mansfield 630-0204 2" SmartFasten Tank to Bowl Kit (Black)

I originally purchased two different tank to bowl repair kits at a local home improvement store. Those kits contained multiple rubber and steel washers, and steel nuts that were suppose to seal the tank. I installed each set multiple times, but I was never able to stop the leakage.I could not find a label on the commode or tank showing the manufacturer's brand, but I now think it's a Mansfield 160 with a three bolt attachment. The Mansfield kit was much simpler to install, the rubber gasket fit perfectly, the three bolts each have a built in rubber seal and nylon locking nuts. This kit sealed perfectly the first time, and seems far less likely to damage the tank or bowl porcelain. There is a YouTube video from Mansfield that takes all the guesswork out of the process.

replaced all the guts of my mansfield 162 toilet - this kit made attaching the tank back to the bowl really easy. the rubber attached screw made things simpler so I did not have to deal with washers. see before and after!

Had to replace the flush valve and thought I should also do the seal and bolts. Glad I did. no leaks!!

Replaced 25+ year old Mansfield flush valve assembly with a new Mansfield one at the beginning of this year and got this kit to go along with it. Not sure I really needed this kit as the old parts probably would have been fine, they didn't really look aged at all… Also didn't(/couldn't?) quite get the toilet's water tank aligned evenly across its backside and the wall.

Works perfectly, I only wish I had thought to check Amazon for this before I bought a generic parts kit from my local “big blue” store. If you’re working on a Mansfield toilet, save yourself time and frustration and get OEM parts. It was also a dollar less at Amazon!

Went to the local hardware store three times sold me the wrong part didn't have what I needed I didn't know the difference between a Mansur toilet and a Kohler lol thank you for Amazon for saving the day.

I use Mansfield 160 replacement parts. I like the bolts and plastic nuts that come with the kit. You have to slightly twist the head of the bolt into place. Then screw on the plastic nuts. You don’t need a screwdriver or other tool to hold the bolt into place.The problem is the rubber gasket. It’s supposed to be for a 2” opening. The gasket doesn’t have the hexagon grooves to slide over the large nut. The gasket is too wide and will not stay in place when you attach the tank. End result..It leaks.Bolts and nuts are fine, but buy a different gasket that fits.
