It works
Used to get this and the bath oil in prescription in new zealand for $3. Works for my childs excema and helps alot. Googled took me to amazon typing for pinetarsol , i wish it was subsidized but doctors in america wants to use steroids instead. This over steroids any day!

It really helped with our baby's eczema
Our doctor recommended us to use this product for our baby's eczema, and it really worked! We bathed her with this gel and put lotion on her right after. She stopped scratching herself and finally could sleep through the night. This product left a smell on her hair (it smelled like pine tree to me, but my husband said it made her smell like a campfire.)

Used for my 4 month old
My baby’s eczema was so bad it weeped. Bathed him per directions and the help was instant. We continued with that every other day as well as medicated ointment and skin is looking great! Wish they had the bath oil available in the states.

Awesome stuff for my 4 year old with severe eczema/TSW- almost fully cleared now after a few months
I wanted to share our experience in case it helps another parent dealing with sensitive, reactive skin. We had previously been using GladSkin body wash because of its simple ingredient list (like glycerin), but I later found out their glycerin is soy-based. My son has a soy allergy, and looking back, he consistently broke out while using both the wash and the cream. So we stopped and started looking for alternatives. My dad ended up buying us this pine tar gel wash to try, and I’m honestly really glad he did. This has been a game changer for my son’s skin. Since switching, we’ve seen a significant improvement. His skin is now almost fully clear, which is something we’ve struggled to achieve for a long time. The wash itself feels very soothing and doesn’t seem to trigger any reactions for him. A few things that have worked well alongside it: • After bathing, I apply a thick layer of Vaseline head to toe to lock in moisture • I use hydrocolloid bandages to spot treat smaller patches • For his cheeks specifically, we’ve been using Sven’s Island Manuka Miracle with Vaseline, and those areas are clearing up too • We also incorporate diluted bleach baths (following the Royal Children’s Hospital guidelines), which seem to help keep flare-ups under control One thing to note: the smell is very strong and definitely resembles campfire/firewood. Personally, I don’t mind it, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re sensitive to scents. Overall, this product has been incredibly helpful for us, and we notice obvious improvements every time we use it. especially after struggling with hidden triggers in other “gentle” products. If you’re dealing with eczema or reactive skin and trying to avoid common allergens, this is absolutely worth trying.
