The irons are soft
Not a bad value if you are willing to heat treat the irons. The irons are soft because the temper was lost when the bevels were ground. The irons sharpen easily, and you get 5 of them, but the edges curl when you try to shave harder wood. I plan to heat treat and temper the irons to see whether I can get better service from the tool.
