Great sushi rice
Have been eating Nishiki rice for long time. Always good quality. Shame it is becoming so expensive now.

A hole in the bag
Rice is fantastic, no problem. But people might have to be careful when they pick it up out of the box when delivered. The rice bag had a hole so some grains came out. I appreciate the fact that they put it in a transparent bag. However, as I had no idea that had had a hole, it was a slight disappointment.

Not true nishiki
This is just like any rice for risotto. It’s so NOT nishiki that if you follow the cooking instructions on the bag it won’t cook properly. It does NOT look like fluffy Japanese rice and it does NOT have that touch or sweetness and texture. It’s just risotto rice

Great quality Japanese style rice
Having grown up with California-grown Japanese rice, this product consistently delivers exactly the right taste and texture. (Rinse till water runs clear- cook in water that rises to level of 3/4 up your thumb if rest thumb on surface of rice- rice cooker is easiest- Zojirushi is expensive but wonderful.)

This is a delicious rice. But compared to another short-grain rice, I can only give a four-star rating.

smell bad and colour is yellow
It is such a shame the seller sold old products like this. Last time I bought the same product, it was fine. This time is awful (sorry to say this). When rice is cooked, colour is yellowish and smell is so bad - and taste is a bit rotten taste, not fresh at all. Please check the date of products carefully, and please don't sell any products of which dates are old. As I can't return, I have to throw away which I don't really like to do.
