I have used this tool multiple times over 2 years. For occasional use this is an excellent little chainsaw and well worth the money. It is powerful enough to cut the full length of the bar and continuously without shutting off or overheating. It is far quieter than my 20” petrol and without the starting issues. It handles well, is well balanced, and easy to adjust or change the chain. The down side is the battery life lasts only 20mins if cutting continuously 10” or bigger, double the time for 6” or smaller. It is as heavy as a petrol saw, and takes 2 hours to recharge each time, longer if the batteries are still warm; also the charger is noisy. The new improved batteries give about the same power and time of use as the old ones. Overall, For regular short term use it is great, for longer use you need more batteries or a petrol saw.

I have tried a few battery chainsaws and most have been returned. So far this is by far the best. It was easy to put together and the power produced is good. The 2 batterys give it a reasonable running time though they do make it heavy. Iv cut quite large trees and its worked very well. The battery charger is quite noisy but charges within about 40 minutes. I sharpen the chain after very use. Its well worth the money. Im very happy with it

This is one strong piece of machinery. Luckily I had a friend who was able to use it for me, which included putting it all together. There is no way I would have been able to do that myself. As another reviewer pointed out, it might be a good idea to require licenses for these things. In lieu of this, I would recommend that no one use this whilst alone. Most importantly, it did not come with any oil, which meant it was inoperable until some was obtained. Once it was useable, it did a good job and the battery lasted as long as was needed. How long it would have lasted beyond that, I don't know.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't have given this product any stars, but the form would not allow this. So take this as a zero star review. My original order arrived and the chainsaw was dead on arrival. Greenworks sent me a replacement, which functioned for less than 3 minutes before it failed. I am now trying to get my money back. I chose the Greenworks chainsaw because I have had experience of their garden tools in the past. I found them to be solid and reliable. However, in this instance, this was not the case. Therefore, I would not recommend this product.

So far only used it to cut up one 15-20cm branch that had fallen but it worked really well. It's a bit weird in that it sounds like an electric drill, which doesn't seem appropriate for a chain saw but it definitely did the business. It's quite heavy due to the two batteries but not ungainly. You can use the weight to help the cut. I had a petrol chainsaw but the clutch is always slipping, this is a good replacement. The batteries showed no sign of discharge after about the 15 minutes of heavy use

It cut through a 25cm fir tree as easy as it cut through small branches. I cut all the lower branches of roughly 40 trees before the battery was low. I was surprised by how long it lasted!! My arms didn't get tired with the weight. I think it actually weighs less than my hedge trimmer. I had enough power to cut through all the branches without slowing down. Super impressed.

Easy to put together and operate. Cuts well and plenty of power but battery life is very limited to around 10 mins when using on thick logs. Batteries charge fairly quickly over a couple of hours. So fine for quick jobs but if needed continously over an extended period then spare batteries needed.

J’ai été plutôt étonné des performances en terme de puissance et durée de coupe de la machine. Ayant déjà du matériel compatible, j’ai pu adapté les batteries et les interchanger. Faciliter d’utilisation par rapport à du thermique sans trop de baisse de puissance pour la coupe de tron et grosse branche. Je recommande l’outil tout comme la marque qui m’étonne toujours

E niente. Mio papa' e' passato dal definirla giocattolo a chiamarmi di sera per ricordarmi di portare la mia motosega. Dopo che l'ha provata con diversi tronchi mugugnando alla fine un "lavura lavura" gli e' sfuggito dai denti. Insomma gliene regalerò una uguale al prossimo black friday. All'atto pratico ho scelto quella con il doppio pacco batteria da 24,l'ho testata lavorando mezz' ora sotto un sole implacabile per tagliare piccoli tronchi caduti, le potature degli aranci in pezzi piu' piccoli e per pezzare il faggio della legnaia e adattarli alla fornace della cucina a legna. Non certo legni impegnativi tuttavia resi ancora più gestibili da una semplicità d'uso unita a una potenza prontissima e regolabile . Sicuramente più performante per ora dell'altra a benzina con la barra identica , niente fumo e olio da tutte le parti e una sessione di lavoro totalmente ricaricata al pannello solare. Primo impatto : ho trascorso la settimana pensando al momento in cui sarei potuto tornare a tagliare i miei legnetti al vigneto. Solo il tempo dira' se il pacco batterie tiene e il "giocattolo"mi fara' giocare ancora a lungo. Presa con lo sconto del 30% e' un vero affare. Aggiornamento a distanza di un mese Ho tagliato circa 6 q.li di legna d'olivo e 4 q.li di castagno, diametri anche di 15-20 cm per 30 di lunghezza in 2 sessioni da 40 minuti con una sola ricarica di 3 ore circa . Un solo rabbocco d'olio , e' leggerissima ma mi stanco lo stesso prima io della motosega. Provata da amici che hanno motoseghe a motore importanti sono tutti concordi nel confermare che per questi lavori di potatura e pezzatura della legna da ardere e' l'ideale oltre al rumore estremamente piu' ridotto rispetto alle controparti a benzina. Unica pecca gia' segnalata da un altro utente a voler essere pignoli si accumula moltissima segatura finissima vicino al pignone e rischia di bloccare l'uggelo dell'olio . Bisogna avere l'accortezza di trattarla bene e pulirla dopo ogni sessione con una pezza e compressore. E' comunque una condizione abbastanza comune ad altre macchine. Se il pacco batterie tiene uno dei migliori acquisti mai realizzati. Aggiornamento: A distanza di 7 mesi uno dei migliori acquisti di sempre su Amazon. Inserisco una clip durante il taglio per diminuire la pezzatura di rami da potatura di olivo stagionati e destinati alla fornace della cucina a legna domestica. Niente fumo ovviamente e rumore piu' che ragionevole per un utilizzo in ambiente urbano.
