Brightness is slightly subdued compared to halogen version of these bulbs, however the staff at our facilities strongly prefers this. Bulbs have been on 24/7 for last several weeks without issue. I have a kitchen range hood that requires four 20W JC halogen bulbs. They burn hot and need to be replaced every couple of years. I decided to save some electricity, money and time by getting LEDs to replace them. These lamps are adequate task lights but not as bright as the halogens I replaced. They are also noticeably whiter light. I always purchase 2700k lamps and these seem to be cooler. The size is perfect, and I really like the rubbery coating.

These lights are great for multi uses in the landscape
These lights are great for multi uses in the landscape. I used them in 4 or 5 different styles of lights.The color of light is warmer than the so called warm white 3000 kelvin of most other LED's. They are a true warm white, 2700 or maybe lower!! The sad thing is I just tried to order more of the 3.5 watt and they are not available now! BUMMER!!! The 3.5 watt is close to the output of a 20 watt halogen. I have tried the cheaper ones from on line, and the high dollar ones from Lowe's and Menards, and these worked better in most cases! UPDATE: These are junk!!!! Steer Clear of this brand!!

Worth it
Bright, warm color. Quality build, with reverse voltage protection built in. Relatively even 360 degree lighting. All four worked out of box, and I was able to dim them with both a 10k pot and various voltage sources under 12VDC. Small Compact package, encased in rubbery epoxy*? not sure on coating but very nice construction. Does not get too hot, and I consistently saw a draw of 120mA at 12VDC per bulb. Again, very bright at 12VDC! Interested in seeing their longevity.

metal connectors too narrow for my lamps
Unfortunately the two metal connectors do not fit my lamps the are too narrow. All the other dimensions were the exactly the same. I must have overlooked that most important dimension if it was given.
