I’ve tried many probiotics over the years, but this one is truly on another level! First of all, it’s made in the USA, extremely potent, and completely pure—no additives or fillers. You can tell right away that it’s high quality. I used it to make yogurt, and the results were amazing! Thick, creamy, and absolutely delicious. I’ve tried other brands before, but this one ferments so well and creates a perfect consistency. I use this culture to make fermented dairy like Dr. Davis recommends. My culture turned out just great and tastes good. It’s mild and it seems to be helping my digestion. I just keep it in the refrigerator to make the culture last longer. Really good product and much more cost-effective than capsules. I also like the fact that it’s very pure and doesn’t have additives like they put in capsules, either.

The Follow Up to my First Review: Firstly, I must say I appreciate George's Excellent. Professional and responsive customer service. He represents this company very well with integrity--which is (unfortunately) lacking for many businesses I've had to deal with-both large and small. That being said, I am a customer with no affiliation with this company whatsoever, hence this updated review comes from my personal experience with the product; this is not medical and/or professional advice. I highly recommend that prospective buyers do an in depth research on Probiotic supplements and possibly consult with your healthcare professional (prior to purchasing and usage) This is a very potent product-- As a result, only a very small amount may be suited for your situation (may be even less than recommended dosage). Additionally, (imo) if you're new to this sort of supplement, it may be better to proceed gradually to allow ones body to slowly adjust accordingly. Again, I encourage everyone to do your own research on Probiotics--I know more about Probiotics now than I knew prior to purchasing, and found that this may not have been suited for me; hence the extreme reactions. Additional helpful hints: Before buying, ask yourself the following: What health-related concerns ( if any), am I trying to address Do I really have any health issues or simply want to try a Probiotics due to glowing reviews or recommendations Do I need to take Probiotics to address such concerns or is it ok just for maintaining good health (if so, which one specifically? There's a plethora of Probiotics meant for different issues) Level of potency (i.e capsules vs powder) To be fair, Foods For Gut customer service is of high standard of excellence and quality; there were no issues with them. They also thoroughly explained product usage and was very patient and understanding; I chose unilaterally to update my review-- For transparency and honesty, my initial review as seen below comes from my personal experience using the product. Therefore I recommend that you do your own comprehensive research to educate yourself about various probiotics and strains of probiotics and consult your health care provider in order to make an informed decision… This is my Initial Review: I experienced the following symptoms using this product: Gas, stomach ache, headache, nausea etc. Unfortunately this never turned out well for me, even after taking a 1/2 of the recommended dosage. Very unfortunate and sad.

I used this to make my own cmicrobiology? ry product (like yogurt) it takes 36 hours to get the highest colony count. This product is clean and most definitely alive. I add raw honey, PB powder and hemp hearts (hulled hemp seeds) for extra protein.

This is a high quality and potent L Reuteri! I thought I was allergic to it because I had a significant histamine reaction the first 2 times I ate the 1/2 cup serving of yogurt I made with the powder. I reached out to the company and they were very helpful. After doing some research, I found that my body might be reacting because it wasn't acclimated to the bacteria. So I titrated up - 1 Tbsp for 7 days, then 2 Tbsp for 7 days, then 1/4 cup for 7 days, then 1/2 cup. This time no reaction whatsoever! Great company to work with, high quality product, and a bacteria that we all need in our systems! So if you are prone to histamine reactions in general (mine was red and itchy skin that lasted for many hours), work up slowly.

Happy with product - works just as I needed. Have to share about excellent customer service. The original product came without the measuring spoons as advertised. I contacted the company who responded quickly, apologizing and letting me know it was an issue with one of their warehouses that were affected by the LA fires. They were happy to send me the measuring spoons and even added another product for me to try as a thank you. Now that is true customer service. I wish more companies were this professional, respectful and appreciated their customers this way!! I'm a new, loyal customer of Foods for Gut!

I’m impressed with this company. The l reuteri comes in a dark glass jar. It was delivered by FEDEX and triple bubble wrapped. It’s just clean, pure with nothing else. Yes, pricey but if you intend to make yogurt, it’ll last for months or years. Looking forward to the best “yogurt”!
