Q: Has anyone (that can rate this) tried using this on her/himself? How much heat protection does it offer?

The blanket I got for my grandson was very light weight. We had him out in the Asian sun before he was a month old. It worked great. I have an order in for swimwear now and a friend at the pool last year had all her children in Coolibar.

Q: This one looks lighter/thinner/cooler than the baby one. Which one is the coolest?

I thought this one was the baby one, it's very small and lightweight. I absolutely love it, we used it all summer in the Florida sun and it was great.

Q: Why is this blanket smaller than the coolibar baby blanket?

This blanket measures 40 inches x 30 inches and our Baby Sun Blanket measures 36 inches x 40 inches. They are different items, so they are different sizes. They are the exact same fabric, so they can be used interchangeably as a baby blanket or as a cover-up.
