When I pulled these out I did a double take. I bought the second biggest size and they are massive and appear to be super high quality. I hook monster tuna fishing in Hawaii as well as other really big fish so top quality is essential. I can't get by on crappy gear. I will be putting these on deepwater trolling planers so the pressure on them will be massive.. Its usually pushing 30 to 40 pounds of pressure when Im at 9 knots. Add in a big fish strike and these have to hold up to the pressure. I believe they will. I use 100-pound line on a Shimano 80. I will see how these hold up but for a dollar each? The local store would be charging me 7 to 10 dollars each! Thats per piece! Im a happy customer and will update here if these rust out or blow out in a strike. Usually I get cheap china junk online but these appear to be super smooth ball bearings snap swivels. -Nick

Hey Guys... Fisherman here. I'm not an Amazon reviewer so this is no BS. These swivels seem pretty good and I think worth the money. I bought the #7 which are rated for 200 lb Plus. I tied #80 mono (Ande) to both ends and gave it a stretch. Mono broke before the swivel. Swivel maintain perfect shape. Got 20 pieces in the package. There were no defects whatsoever. Every swivel seem to be perfect including the welded ring on one end. They look pretty damn nice. One bearing out of the 20 isn't "perfectly smooth". just a slight bump on 1. We'll see how they hold up to #100+ fish and the salt. Catchm Up.

Good ball bearing snap swivels for the money. I recommend lubricating the ball bearing swivels with Break Free or WD 40 if you want them to perform at their best. The lubricant doesn't chase fish away, it attracts fish if anything. RESULTS SUMMERY VS COMPETITOR: Yoshikawa by Dr.Fish Copper housing w/black nickel finish HAS SOME PIECES THAT ARE HIGHER PERFORMING BALL BEARING SWIVELS and higher pound rated Coastlock Snaps BUT SOME OF THESE BALL BEARING SWIVELS ARE OF AN UNACCEPTABLE DEFECTIVE LEVEL SO CUSTOMERS REALLY HAVE TO TEST AND SORT OUT THE DEFECTIVE ONES TO PREVENT FAILURE same as with even the highest priced and most popular Spro and Sampo brands. The other brand by VERY100 of slightly cheaper priced Stainless Steel housing with Silver Chrome plating that is flaking off has lower pound test rated due to Crane Duolock Snaps. Note: I did these same tests below a bunch of years ago on very expensive Spro brand and Sampo brand and they had more than their share of defective and low performing ball bearing swivels no different than these from China on Amazon at 1/4 the price. My Method of test: I hand spun a hanging 12 ounce lead fishing weight on each of your 20 snap swivels before adding any lubrication and also a few hours after lubricating them with Break Free Cleaner and Preservative aerosol. The only difference between before and after the lubricant was that only a few improved but some became a little worse. Over all your worst ones were considerably worse than the worse ones of your competitor and are not useable at all. Your best spinning ones were considerably better than your competitor. After testing ball bearing swivels to use for fishing and kite flying I have found it a necessity to test them to avoid the defective ones that perform unacceptably and use the best ones in the most critical applications. Keep in mind that my testing method holds the upper welded ring fixed and my lead weight does wobble a little different at times but yield pretty reliable repeatable results of each test. I had been having trouble with the standard swivels coming open or bending/breaking. I decided I needed something better. I tried a different kind of swivel but it was difficult to use. And then I found these swivels. The swivels are exactly as advertised. Stainless steel with a strong snap lock. It took a bit of effort to get it open which means it is not going to come open while my line is in the water. I liked the swivel so much that I replaced the existing swivels on my fishing rods with these swivels.

I used one of these as an attachment point for another swivel and heavy leader fo thresher sharks. I bought the 232 lb or so model, as most of the sharks are under 100 lbs. After a recent catch, I noticed that the locking arm part was elongated as if the shark stretched it. I've never seen this or had it happen before, and the it made me realize how close I was to losing my catch. I won't trust these for something crucial like that again. They may be suitable for connecting sinkers and that's it for me. They look good, but aren't built tough enough for me.

I use these for making my decoy rigs. They are super easy to open/close and stay secure when closed. Definitely recommend to all duck hunters making their own rigs.
