🫐🌟A Superfood Staple! Navitad Delivers The Best Goji Berries!🌟🫐
🌟I've tried several different brands of Goji Berries over the years, and the Navitas Organics 4 oz bag that I purchased immediately stands out as the superior choice. This is an absolutely essential addition for anyone serious about adding high-quality, dense nutrition to their diet! 🫐This brand has unmatched quality and texture! As I expected from Navitas, the quality is exceptional. These berries are certified organic and sourced impeccably. What truly sets them apart from the others that I've tried, however, is the texture. Other brands often provide berries that are rock-hard, overly shriveled, and dusty. These Navitas berries are notably plump, moist, and delightfully chewy! They don't require pre-soaking to be enjoyable, which is a huge time-saver. Their vibrant red-orange color also signals their freshness and potent antioxidant content. 🌟The flavor profile and versatility is perfectly balanced—a unique blend of slightly sweet and tangy, with a mellow earthy undertone. I woukd describe them as a mix between a raisin and a cranberry, but with a more sophisticated, slightly herbal kick. This 4 ounce bag is the perfect starter size for integrating them into your daily routine. I've used them in several ways! 📍Oatmeal & Yogurt: A simple sprinkle adds great texture and flavor. 📍Homemade Trail Mix: They pair perfectly with nuts and seeds. 📍Straight Snacking: They offer a satisfying chew when I need a quick energy boost. 📍Smoothies: A handful goes a long way in boosting the nutritional profile of any blend. 🫐They really are a nutritional powerhouse and I personally rely on Goji Berries for their amazing reputation as a complete food containing all essential amino acids and a high concentration of antioxidants! (While I can't indefinitely, scientifically, or appropriately measure the impact for everyone else, I feel a tangible difference in my OWN energy levels when I consistently incorporate high-quality superfoods like these! The fact that they taste this good makes it easier for me to stick to my own health goals much easier. ⭐️My final verdict is that if you're looking for an organic, high-quality Goji Berry that tastes fresh and has a wonderfully plump, chewy texture, this brand and bag size is a perfect purchase. It’s an ideal size to sample the quality, though I guarantee you’ll want to size up on your next order if your anything like me! A definite 5 out of 5 stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Product of China But Good Taste & The Price Is Excellent Right Now
I have never tasted dried Goji berries. I have only tasted them fresh and in smoothies. So, I was pleasantly surprised when these tasted sweet enough (but with a bit of tangy/sour) to eat as a snack. They are fresh tasting, look fresh as you can see by the photo I put here for you, and are of a nice texture. They have a chewiness similar to raisins that are on the chewy side (not soft). You have to chew them a few times to get them to be softer and release their flavor. They are not sticky. These are from China (3rd photo) so that will be a deal breaker for some people. For me, these were the cheapest out there considering the cost and size of the bag (number of ounces). I’m on a fixed income so that matters.

First time trying goji berries and was expecting a berry-like flavor. I was surprised to find that they have a more bitter and earthy flavor to them, but it grew on me quickly. The quality of the berries was excellent, and I did not experience any issues with mold or leaves being present, as others have mentioned. I eat them straight out of the bag to satisfy my snacking habits while getting a daily dose of antioxidants. I haven't yet tried incorporating them into other foods but I found some ideas on the Down To Earth website: 1. Raw: First and foremost, eat them raw! A small handful a day will do. 2. Juice: Goji berries are also available in juice form. Down to Earth carries 100% Goji Juice without any added sugar, or color. 3. Tea: Goji berries can be used to brew in a tea. You can add a handful of goji berries to a big glass of hot or cold water (or herb tea) and let sit and hydrate for 5 to 10 minutes. They become plump and juicy. You can drink the tea and eat the hydrated berries which are loaded with antioxidants. 4. Smoothies: Soak a handful of goji berries in water for 10 minutes. Once they are plump and juicy, add them to your favorite smoothie. It won’t make much of a change to the taste or consistency of your smoothie. 5. Trail Mix: You can also add goji berries to your favorite trail mix. Or, make your own by mixing your favorite nuts and dried fruit with some goji berries. Kids like it when you add some chocolate or peanut butter chips to the goji trail mix. 6. Cereal: Just like raisins, add some goji berries to your hot or cold cereals in the morning. Muffins and Scones: Add goji berries to muffins or scones just as you would raisins. 7. Goji Energy Bars: Blend a handful of goji berries together with cup of walnuts, ½ cup almonds, and 5-6 dates in a food processor. Roll the mix into balls or spread in a deep pan to make bars. 8. Add to Soups: This has been a common use of goji berries in Chinese cuisine for thousands of years.

Worth it
Delicious to add to soups, oatmeal, etc. A little tough as a stand alone snack.

Healthy choice of dried fruit
These dried goji berries are healthy and tasty but when a bit stiff can be harder on teeth to chew so I soaked them in water quickly and they became like softer raisins. The water became flavorful too and could be used added to or as a sweet tea or for liquid in another recipe.

Crispy. Crunchy. Dry as a cracker. Brittle. Emaciated. The exact opposite of good Goji berries.
Crispy. Crunchy. Dry as a cracker. Brittle. Emaciated. Arid as the Sahara or Antarctic Deserts. Parched as the mouth of a cannabis-smoker. These are NOT words that are used to describe high-quality Goji berries. They are, however, the words used to describe THESE Goji berries from Navitas, which are indeed extremely dry, crispy, and crunchy. Properly-stored and -handled Goji berries should be chewy and sticky. These certainly are not that. Goji berries that are crunchy and crispy are likely that way because of old age, improper storage, being over-dried during processing, or environmental dryness if a seal was broken or the bag wasn't airtight. Well, for these berries, the expiration date hasn't passed yet (the expiry date printed on the bag says "June 2026" and today is April 12th, 2025). So it shouldn't be old age (unless Navitas is lying about the expiration date, or the Goji berries are self-conscious about their age and thus lying to Navitas). On the front of the bag, it says "gently dried", so that makes me think the culprit is not over-drying during processing. The bag isn't open, pierced, or otherwise unsealed, so that's not the problem. Through process of elimination, that leaves one likely culprit: Navitas is improperly storing their Goji berries, and that is why I, and so many other irate reviewers, are receiving such unappetizingly dry, parched, brittle, crispy, hard Goji berries. I didn't even have to open the bag to know how crispy they are, I just had to shake it (seriously: it SOUNDS crispy!) and, through the packaging, take a berry in my fingers and pinch it until it shattered instead of squishing. And yes, it didn't just break in half, it. freaking. SHATTERED. That's how dry these berries are. And proper Goji berries are supposed to be chewy!!! Holy hell. You wouldn't know it if these were your first Goji berries! By the way, I've never eaten or bought Goji berries before. But I know they're supposed to be chewy and sticky and supple like raisins because of the glorious Interwebs (thanks, ChatGPT!). I was excited to try these, but I sure as hell am not eating these as my introduction to the world of Goji berries. So off I continue, on my quest for Organic, healthy, hopefully-sustainably-farmed, palatable (i.e. chewy, sticky, and supple) Goji berries. /sigh (Though these cannot be returned, assumedly because no food items can be returned(?), I spoke with an Amazon customer service agent who refunded my purchase. I was hoping for a replacement so I could see if Navitas would send a properly-handled bag of Goji berries, but the agent specified this was a "one-time refund", so I suppose that means if the next Navitas bag is bone-dry like this one, then I'm SOL. So I'm going to skip Navitas and try a different brand altogether. I will review that bag, so if you're also looking for acceptable-quality Organic Goji berries that aren't like these, I'll make sure to keep reviewing until I find a suitable bag. I hope it's the next one. Consumerism gods, please favor me in my search. Amen.)
