Amazing. Not just another self-development book
I was laying on a beach in Spain when I started to read what I thought was going to be just another self-development book. Don’t get me wrong, I’d heard Mike on a few podcasts and I knew he had some awesome things to say, but I wasn’t expecting it to have such an impact.Mike gave me the belief that it IS possible to build a brand around your own personal ideas, expertise and message. That your point of view IS important.I more than recommend this book if you are running a personal brand business or if you have any intentions of doing so. It's full of real actionable tips, not just theoretical ideas. Buy it!Great work Mike!

Great book for branding, especially when branding for yourself
I have branded for other companies for years but struggled to brand my latest business adventure. This was very helpful with reminders and other ways I had not thought of for branding. If you have never done it, you will like this book. If you have done it, you will also like this book.

Insightful, practical, and makes entrepreneurship less intimidating
You Are The Brand is truly a refreshing read. I love how Mike writes - clear, practical, and relatable (especially as a fellow Korean-American!) He doesn't drag his stories, but shares them in ways that turn into actionable steps. His frameworks and perspectives are insightful, especially on the type of entrepreneur you are, personal branding, and your position in the market. He emphasizes the fact it's more about opening a relationship, rather than closing a sale.He provides thoughtful questions to ask yourself, exercises, and scripts that you can apply directly into your business practices. I've used one already on asking for feedback from your clients - super helpful. For any new entrepreneur out there, this is the book to read. It's easy to consume, provides a clear path forward, and makes building a business not as scary as it seems. Highly recommend!
