No it's thin and you must look out for certain types of glue seeping through.I'm a poet and didn't even know it

It's very thin. Maybe1/8 inch thick. It's good for streching around corners, or trim panels.

Q: Is this carpet like flat? Or does it have longer hairs on it? If that makes sense.

It is flat. It is more like felt then carpet but much stronger than felt. Makes a great cover for speaker boxes. Good stuff!
