I bought this in 2021 and have been using them for a while now. At first they were great when I was mostly using them for speedlights with softboxes or for overhead shots with my camera, but when I upgraded my lights to studio strobes about 5lbs each I had a big scare. The grip heads it came with at the time are smooth inside, not grooved where the boom arm attaches and are very hard to tighten well. I attached my light to the baby pin on the 2nd grip head, and it swung down quickly because I couldn't tighten the one attaching the boom arm to the stand enough. Thankfully no one was hurt. I ordered a couple of grip heads from another company that are grooved and they hold the boom arm much better. Only other complaint is that with heavy equipment at the end of the boom arm there is a lot of bounce. I have to wait a few minutes for things to settle after making any adjustments. Other than that and always using sand bags, these stands are good, sturdy, and work well. They have lasted me over a couple of years and will for a long time to come. For the price they were worth it for my use (though I ended up having to spend more on better grip heads).

Is exactly what I was looking for. With the sturdiness and strength of a equipment upgrade from what I have. At present I don’t have a dislike concerning this equipment.

Pro light stands
Very well built c stands, durable and easy to work with. It can handle my heavy lights. Plus, I suggest getting some sand bags for when you have windy days, or just to stabilize your setup even more.
