Will this fit over 3" cast iron to the bell/socket of 3" s40 backwater valve? Or is there another option that will work better?

This fitting is made to fit over 3" sch 40 pipe and over bell end of 3" fitting. Inside measurements of fitting are 3.5" and 4 " . Most 3 " cast is just under 3.5" OD. This fitting should work

No it is made to go from 3" pipe to the socket of a 3" fitting. A regular 3" in fernco will tighten down enough to join 3" copper to 3" pvc sch 40

This coupling looks to big a little bigger on 1 end(which is what I need). What are the inner diameters on both ends please?

The smaller end is 3.5 inch I.D. and the bigger end is 4 inch I.D. , the smaller end fits over 3 inch sch. 40 PVC pipe and the bigger end fits over the bell end of a 3 inch sch. 40 fitting

Inexpensive and of better quality than expected.

I was redoing a bathroom and It still had a 3" cast iron sewer pipe I needed to adapt to 3" pvc. this worked great the sizes were spot on. if you are having the same problem this is exactly what you are looking for.

Perfect fit!

This fitting is perfect for connecting a rear discharge toilet to 3" ABS plumbing. The bigger gear clamp is not big enough, however, in order to push the fitting all the way onto the toilet. I bought a 5" clamp, that made it perfect.
