This light is a great addition to our barn. I don't have power there and needed some light for the days we don't get the goats fed before dark. It can also be quite dark in there during the day, so I really wanted the daytime feature. This light is nice and bright, for what it is. Depending on the size of shed/barn, you might want two, but we mainly just need to see enough to get some hay and maybe grain for the animals. Keeping the remote from getting lost will be near impossible, but the light is more than enough for our needs. Installation was super easy, just install the solar panel, route the wire inside, install the light and connect the wire. It was much easier than trying to run power across to this building. The motion sensor works great. I mounted my light on the ceiling, facing straight down. It is about 10ft above the floor and the sensor works from about 12ft away. Perfect for my situation. Time will tell with battery life, but it is lithium, so should be good for a bit. Definitely a good alternative in a shed or barn.

Update: Bought this in late May 2025. We had an extremely cold winter with temperatures near or below zero every night. It's now mid April 2026. I walked into the garage today and the light came right on, just as bright as the day I installed it! Older review: Just what I needed for our detached garage! There is ledge between it and the house so an underground wire was out of the question. Using solar was the perfect way to go, and this light cost far less than running a cable. The garage is 24x24 and the best place for the solar panel was on a corner, so the long cable was just the right length to allow me to mount it in the center of the garage. The whole install took less than an hour and is very straightforward. Simply mount the panel, drill a hole for the wire, Seal the wire hole with silicone caulk, mount the light, and connect the two. The light module is plastic and very light weight, so I used a single screw to attach it to the rafter, allowing me to swivel it for best coverage. All the necessary hardware is provided, and even includes drywall anchors for the screws and tie wraps for securing the wire. In operation, the motion detector responded when I got within 5 feet of the light. I larger detection radius would have been a little better, but is not an issue; I will Velcro the remote to the garage wall and use it as an on/off switch if necessary. However, if you were to drive a vehicle into the garage, the detection range is fine. The light is very bright. We rarely use this garage at night, and I'm sure it will be adequate for our needs. The unit is well designed and manufactured. The solar panel is encased in a metal frame and has an adjustable metal mounting bracket. The cable from the solar panel to the light has a keyed connector to prevent accidental miswiring and a secure waterproof connection. While light in weight, the light housing is well built and hold the LED panels securely. There are 4 adjustable LED panels as well as a fixed downward pointing 5th panel which allow you to direct the light where it is needed. The master on/off switch is mounted on the center panel and is waterproof. You can install this light in damp outdoor conditions without worrying about it shorting out. Also, the light runs on low voltage, so you don't have to worry about electrical shock. I'm very pleased with this light, and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a light in a shed or garage that does not have electricity.

After charging and following instructions, replacing remote batteries, I couldn’t figure out why this light would not turn on. Amazon listing says to turn switch on first which was the key. I’d give this 5 stars with better instructions, better labeled on/off switch on light, AND, a light on remote when buttons pushed to show it’s working. Otherwise, works great as a 1x10ft shed light. Sufficient light even with door open in middle of day.

The lamp lights up great, its very bright and i loved the fact that you could rotate the four edges to illuminate different spots, the cable was also very long which made it easy to put the solar panel in a good spot. My biggest issue with it is that it is NOT FOR OUTDOORS. I put this lamp right on the edge of my barn to light up the entrance and to light up the stalls a little bit just to make it easier to feed when its late. It was covered by a roof but i live in south Florida where its always humid and raining so we got a bad storm merely a couple days after installing it and it got SLIGHTLY wet. Just from that bit of moisture it stopped working completely the next day. Its claims to be waterproof but it is NOT WATERPROOF in the slightest. Only buy this if it will be used indoors, otherwise dont waste your money.

Love this light! I am a big fan of solar and this light doesn't disappoint! Super bright with a lot of modes for different types of lighting! The head can be adjusted if you need to tilt it, or hand straight up like I did. It's super easy to install and it had longer cord than I needed but we made due. The little solar panel collector gets sunlight everyday so I never have a dark night. The remote control is easy to use and pretty straight forward. I have had it for a while now on my front porch and it has not failed me yet. I would definitely recommend for the price!

Purchased for my home shed gym. Great light and a lot better than the solar powered one that I have. It really makes the shed brighter. Picture shows how bright it is in my home gym. Does cost a bit more but worth it. Give this a five stars.
