How durable is the Acme 635 whistle? It looks like it would break somebody sat or stepped on it.

I do not know how strong the whistle is, but I had it twice blown out of my hand by short distance ball kicks and nothing happened to it - my hand was sore for days. I am a high school soccer ref; I had another Acme Tornado 635 for over 14 years and it worked well, until I left it behind on a field, so I bought a new one.

How durable is the Acme 635 whistle? It looks like it would break somebody sat or stepped on it.

As a volleyball official, the whistle is in my mouth most of the match. I've been able to get a good 18 months usage out of the whistle before they start chipping from biting down on them. Hope that helps.

Not sure what you mean by, 'This is ready?' If you are asking about the color, then the whistle is blue unlike the picture that shows red.

Great tone, different than all the others.

I love that the company name is “Acme” - mems of the Road Runner 😂. I love this whistle, compact, distinct sound, loud enough for the whole pitch. (I do point the three holes down so I don’t hurt my own ears.) One uses it slightly different than standard whistles, or Fox40-type, a bit more intense breath is best. So far durable enough, but it’s a whistle… unlikely we need to crash-test the thing. Also glad I could get different colors, tired of black and refuse to jump on bandwagon of pink.
