Excellent Dog Food, One of the Best Choices We Made
We have fed this to our pup for about a year now and we have been nothing but pleased with the results. Health checkups have always been excellent and he enjoys the food. Though every dog is different I will explain our personal experience with our Male Australian Cattle Dog. -First of all, the quantity of food. We usually went through about a bag every two months. Our pup was for the most part self feeding. We would put out the recommended portion given on the bag, and he would eat it throughout the day. He seemed to be filled up quickly by it and that was awesome because I feel it was hard for him to over eat. He digested it very well and had a very regular schedule. -He loved the food. For the first 4 months that we had him, we used nothing but the bits of dog food as incentive and treats for training. It was great because it was feeding him within his daily amount and it was portioned perfectly. -He is now 1 year old and is healthy, active, and strong. One thing that is super noticeable is that his fur is still incredibly smooth and soft despite him blowing his puppy coat. His nails are very strong and aren't brittle as well. -The only thing that could be considered a "con" is the pretty much ever present flatulence. This is a normal and expected effect of the digestion grain free diets. Though potent, we can live with it... Overall, I highly recommend this food. I have not tried the other flavors, however soon we will be transitioning to and adult diet and may experiment. I can vouch for the puppy formula 100%. Though expensive, you end up buying less and getting a whole lot more.

Nothing but good results
This food is AMAZING!!! I rescued two puppies (Boxer/Lab) two days apart (that was an accident I assure you), but they were both sickly, one more so than the other. The first we rescued had digestive issues. They had been feeding her very cheap food. She had bathroom issues... It wasn't pretty - we will leave it at that. Her skin was dry and her coat wasn't very soft and the shedding. OH the shedding! The other puppy showed up two days later wrapped in a towel weighing 2 pounds! She really shouldn't have been away from her mom at this point but woe is me. She was so skinny you could see every bone in her little body. She had a huge pot belly from worms, and the amount of bite marks on her was so sad... She had bald spots and scabs all over. We did a bit of research on different foods and this one stood out. We wanted a grain free food that was also high in protien. We started them on it right away. We did not switch them slowly as it is recommended. Partly because we didn't want to pay for that cheap food, and partly because of the urgency of nutrition needs of the smaller one. They have been on this food for two months now, and bazinga! No more shedding, no more bathroom issues, no more bald spots, no more scabs, no more sick puppies! Our vet asked us which food we chose because he was so impressed with the results. Everyone that sees them says how awesome they look compared to when we rescued them. They are both now in their ideal weight ranges, and perfect check ups every time now. The older one has cholitis, and has no problems with this food. The little one couldn't eat hard food when we got her, we added just a tad of water to soften it and it worked perfectly. The bag is resealable.

YES, YES, YES--except the price
My Border Collie loves this!! It does give her major gas, which is okay considering the benefits that come along with it. It is grain freeeeeee! Yay. Some people may say that I'm crazy that I have to feed my dog the best food...maybe I am. This food is not very cheap--about 55-60 bucks for a 26-pound bag. At one point we switched our dog to Purina Pro Plan because we had read good reviews on it, however, it was not grain free. We could tell a huge difference after her being on it for a few weeks. On the Purina Pro Plan she had more eye boogers than ever imaginable, was not very regular on her pooping, did not seem to be filled up as easy, and itched like crazy! Needless to say, we spoiled our dog and switched her back to Wellness Core. She seemed to love the taste better, her itching subsided (she still itches some because of sensitive skin), eye boogers diminished quite a bit, and she became very regular again. Pros: Great ingredients--only the best first Grain (along with other ingredients) free Good for sensitive skinned dog Keep your dog regular with pooping--no constipation Great flavor--my dog seems to love it Cons: Price--main problem--it is not cheap, however my dog loves it! Gassy--I don't see this as a problem, but some people will. Its just funny to me. She has gas when she sleeps. It keeps us guessing.

It's Good, But As Others Have Mentioned, May Cause Gas
We feed our 5 month old pit this food. He seems to love the taste, but then again he will eat pretty much anything. So far, he seems to be healthy, has lots of energy and a soft and healthy-looking coat. The only negative thing we've noticed is that he has terrible gas sometimes and his poop smells really bad (worse than average dog poop). He also has diarrhea every now and then, but we feed him a mix of kibble and raw chicken/beef, so sometimes if the meat isn't all that fresh he will have indigestion. It's also worth noting that, in general, the more expensive the kibble, the more caloric it is. That could also be the reason this kibble causes bad gas and stinky poo: it is very dense in calories/nutrients and high in protein, there's no filler like rice or grains. In my opinion, this is a good thing. Especially for a growing puppy. I should warn that I've never tried any other kibble with this dog, so I can't say whether or not this one is any better than other brands like Nature's Variety. We may switch it up in the future just too see what happens, but for now we're sticking with Wellness CORE. This is definitely one of the more pricey kibbles, but if you feel like it's worth it and it's really improving your dog's quality of life, then why not spend the extra cash?

Great Puppy Food for my Siberian Husky
We recently got a Siberian Husky and I wanted the best for him. Before him we had a Shih-Tzu that we had since he was 8 weeks old. A few months ago my toddler opened the front door and he got out in the yard. By the time I realized he was outside, he was gone, someone stole him. We decided that we would get another to fill the void of losing our beloved Gizmo so got Shadow. His owner stated that he was being fed Pedigree Puppy. I've never used Pedigree dog food but decided to take a look at the ingredients and wasn't happy. If you're a pet owner you know that you have to mix their food until he gets used to the new food. I initially bought Blue Wilderness because that's what we were feeding our Shih-Tzu but after hearing the debacle with Blue about where they were getting their ingredients etc, I decided to switch to Wellness CORE and I have no regrets. Not only is it cheaper but it's also a pretty darn good puppy food and the ingredients are just as good. He was able to tolerate the switch pretty well and I'm hoping this is the last switch we will have to make until he weans off puppy food.

WOW, just WOW! Cleared allergies!!
WOW!!! This food has been awesome for my 9 month old cocker spaniel. She was struggling with allergies (ears, eyes, and skin) for months while on Merrick then Royal Canin, the brand recommended by our vet. She's been on allergy medicine, allergy shots, ear drops, eye drops, antibiotics.... it's expensive! I did some research and found Wellness Core and I AM SO GLAD I DID!! (Sorry for the shouting, but my excitement can't be held back.) About 2.5-3 weeks ago, her most recent skin irritation was a giant, swollen, oozy bump on her vulva... but, since switching fully to Wellness two weeks ago, her skin has COMPLETELY cleared. Her eyes and ears are noticeably less itchy. Honorable mention benefit: she is actually eating all of her food at each meal -- she's always been a picky eater, but she loves her food now! Finally, her attitude has been better -- probably because she feels better all around!! I am so grateful we made the switch to Wellness. If your dog is struggling with allergies, tiredness, grumpiness... or you just want your dog to be healthier, seriously consider giving Wellness Core a go!!

Great Puppy Food!!!
Best puppy food! We love the Wellness brand products and so does our Shih Zu/Yorkie/Pomeranian mixed puppy! Great ingredients without a ton of junk/fillers. Great conscientious company that truly cares about the wellness of your fur baby. When we got our Puppy he was being fed Purina food (their list of product recalls over the years speaks for itself- bad stuff) and when we were switching over foods he really tolerated it well as we made sure to do a mix over a weeks time. It took him a couple of weeks to finish his whole 1 cup of food for his weight/size- this was because when a dog food has quality ingredients, your dog won't need to eat as much to fill up! His coat had been SO much softer and shinier with this food and he has gained weight at the perfect rate the vet said and never lost any. He's the perfect size/weight and this food has worked very well for him and us!

I thought the kibbles are the same size of 4lbs bag to 26lbs of bag!!!
At first I received my order 4lbs bag wellness core puppy (03/30/2016) to try it to my puppy Maltese Shihtzu and he love his 4lbs Wellness Core puppy, small kibbles, easy for my puppy to chew and I noticed his coat is shiny and fluffy. He finished his 4lbs bag after a 18days and I decided to order the bigger bag (04/19/2016) which is the 26lbs wellness core for puppy. But then when I opened the bag I was surprised because I compare the 4lbs wellness core puppy kibble to 26lbs wellness core puppy kibbles and the size are so different the 26lbs bag is more bigger which is good actually but then my puppy is now having a hard time chewing his wellness core puppy dry food coz the kibbles are harder that why its hard for him to chew!! I am really concern if its the same ingredients thwt you have in the bigger bag even if its the same container and descriptions but whatever my puppy's coat now is not shiny and fluffy after 10days ordering of this 26lbs wellness core for puppy!!! What happened?! I like this brand also his treats are the same with this brand but I dont know why is this happening now!!! I thought this is really good thats why I ordered the 26lbs lbs it is a really waste!!! I attached the picture so you can see on the left is the 26lbs bag of wellness core puppy and the right is the 4lbs bag of wellness core puppy!!

Wellness is a True 5-Star Kibble
REVIEW: 26 pound bag of Puppy kibble (flavor 5). When we adopted our puppy, I wanted the best. Merrick came up on the radar first but my wife balked at the price. Then I discovered Wellness and all my research showed it to be a top brand, rated 5 stars, and almost half the price of Merrick. In fact, the 26 pound bag is cheaper via Amazon than at my local pet superstore. I now subscribe to regular monthly delivery. When under the breeder's care, my puppy Zuzu ate IAMS (reviews are 3-star, not bad, not great) which is sometimes described as the "sugar cereal" of dog food. I was concerned about the transition and mapped out a gradual mixing plan. Zuzu proved me wrong and was eating pure Wellness by day 3 and now refuses to touch the old food. She absolutely loves it! The health benefits are tremendous and the ingredients are top notch with no fillers. It is an excellent protein source. The kibbles are shaped in small, round pieces and are very easy for her to pick up, chew and swallow. The bag is resealable and so far one 26 pound bag lasts us the month, but she is growing fast so that will likely change. One aspect I like is that the kibble doesn't have a strong odor; it is a pleasant, lighter smell than most other kibbles. I like that Wellness has a transition plan for moving from puppy phase to adult dog phase. What I say in this review is meaningless; it comes down to what Zuzu thinks, and she gives it two paws up. :) In the picture below she has just come in from a run in the snow and went straight to her food dish for lunch!

Puppy loves it
Switched to this after Acana branded food gave my puppy 4 straight weeks of diarrhea (it was as aweful as it sounds). Once I realized the food was not agreeing with him I switched him over to plain rice, and then started mixing this in over a few weeks. So far it has worked out great, we’re 2 bags deep and he hasn’t been having any more bowel issues :) it’s a bit more expensive, but it’s well worth not having to deal with that crap (literally).

Great
This is in my opinion the best dog food for smaller dogs.

Low odor puppy food
I have an Ausky and she seems to like the food. The packaging is nice and I love that the bag is resealable. It also has a lower odor than some dog foods that I have tried which is nice so my entire pantry doesn't smell like dog food. It also seems to be helping to maintain a nice shiny coat on my dog. My dog will have times when she just completely ignores the food though.
