Set in an apartment building whose occupants include Arthur Earthleigh, a meek and mild type married to the beautiful-but-domineering Mae; a Bohemian artist, David Galleo and his always-there model, Deborah Tyler; and Olive Jensen, a Greenwich Village type who is always slightly-but-continuously inebriated, and whose motto is "love and let love." She calls on George while his wife is out, and when she passes out during his attempts to get her out before his wife returns, he thinks she is dead and deposits her on Galleo's terrace. Galleo takes advantage of the situation by using it in a blackmail scheme against Arthur, which is shaky, at best, as Olive refuses to stay dead. When sold by .com, this product will be manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. .com's standard return policy will apply.

Merchandise arrived early and in quality condition. Extremely impressed with this seller. The layout is great on the case and the disc played wonderfully. The movie was just as great as I remembered. Such an funny story and fine actors. Many thanks for such a job well done. So professional. Recommend this seller to everyone.

Good Virginia Mayo Vehicle
I previously purchased this movie. The sound quality was a problem through most of the story. This edition of Out of the Blues has an improved soundtrack and picture making it a terrific value. My only regret is not seeing more of Virginia Mayo( the reason I only gave it 4 stars. She clearly steals every scene she's in, even when pretending to be a criminal's moll, just part of the fun!

Lost & Found=A Classic.
Initially, the story line was so unexpected and off the wall it was hard to concentrate on how hilarious the characters really were. The second viewing was the charm. A gem deserving cult status. All actors play against type and the result is a hoot. The "Out of the Blue" Olive was out of this world= dead or alive, Brent a hen pecked ninny, Landis an iron faced vindictive shrew, Turhan Bey undaunted, insinuating, sexy & smooth as silk playing by ear with zanies and the lovely Mayo (in search of a "mate" and a litter) along for the ride with Bey and Rabelais her objective. A treat. The ending a twister. The only drawback was the quality of the video (not restored) and the audio was like hearing voices from another room.

Out Of The Blue DVD-R 1947 movie
Interesting screwball comedy from 1947. The movie is transferred to a DVD-R. Picture and sound quality is mediocre. Much better quality transfer on laserdisc from years ago. This DVD-R is about the only way you’ll get this movie at present time.

1 man is a womanizer, 1 man wants to be. not so lucky women who get/have them
The description is NOT correct ! hen pecked husband thinks that he accidentally kills an odd woman he picks up in a bar & invites back to his apartment. He then places her body on the patio of his next door neighbor. The neighbor proceeds to take advantage of the situation. Not really very funny considering the husband is a coward & a cheat wanna be. In the end the "manly" thing to do is to be bossy to his wife, who seems to somehow enjoy it. Very out dated sensibilities.

Silly Entertainment
This movie's overall high average rating is due to some of the ratings are for another movie with a similar name. This movie is one of those cute classics that would never happen in real life. Not bad but not great.

Olive steals the show... and she is not even listed in the opening credits!
This is a great screwball comedy that starts slowly for the first 10 minutes...then the character of Olive appears and the hilarity begins. I fell in love with this character for her constant drinking of medicinal brandy "for her heart condition!" Everything she says and does if funny!
