I needed a new VGA switch so that I could use the same monitor with my new work laptop and my old private desktop. Even with HDMI to VGA converter the old one could't deal with the output from the laptop.This one can. It works well. What more is there to say.

Worth It for Convenience
Needed this to use single monitor between two tower systems. Straight forward really, no complications, simply plug the two computes to the ports and the monitor into the indicated one. As easy as that.

Spot on for switching between main pc and Dell dock
I bought this as a "probably won't work but it's cheap" experiment.Here's what I was working with: I have a desktop PC, with only HDMI and displayport video out, and a work laptop on a basic Dell dock with only VGA, HDMI and DVI in. I have one HDMI (X2) and VGA monitor, and one VGA (X1) monitor. Before buying this item, I had the HDMI monitor on the desktop, and the HDMI monitor and the VGA monitor on the Dell.Now I have:- Displayport to VGA cable from the desktop pc to the switch- VGA to VGA cable from the Dell dock to the switch- VGA to VGA cable from the switch to the VGA only monitor. - plus the original 2 X HDMI cables for the HDMI monitor - 1 to the dock and one to the desktop pc.The VGA monitor is now shared between both setups at the press of a button.Both desktop and laptop on the dock correctly identify both screens when on their "feed". I have a total of 3 screens when using the work laptop - no issues with the way the feed is picked up. Picture quality is not noticeably different than it was before.Very happy indeed!Just to reiterate what other reviews have said - this comes with no cables - you'll need 3. But I'm very happy with my purchase!

Great value, easy to use and works straight out the box!
A small footprint and easy to use. No drivers or configuration required. Simply connect three VGA cables, one between the output and your monitor, the other two between the switch and respective input devices. Switching between inputs is almost instant and is as simple as pressing a button! Worth noting that you need to supply your own VGA cables. Highly Recommended.
