I bought the Chestnut Brown colour but I overestimated my grey hairs and it turned out dark brown! But that's okay as I was originally going for dark brown. I think sitting with the stuff on my hair for half an hour was a bit much for my few greys, but I really wanted rid of them! This whole idea of coloured shampoo is genius! Very quick and, because it goes on dry hair, not drippy and messy. When you squeeze the bottle it comes out in two parts - a white creme and an amber gel. You just mix them together with your fingers in your (gloved) palm and massage it onto your hair. My hair colour was very NOT dark brown when I started and I was wondering how an over all dye job would turn out. The answer to that is EXCELLENT! Not a hair undyed and not a sign of greys. During the waiting time, between application and rinsing it out, I just got on with some chores and rinsed it out when my alarm went off. I also used the sachet of after care stuff and that made my hair feel glorious! I wish you got more of that as the bottle's very big and I'll be able to re-dye my hair when it starts wearing off. I had some dye which dried in just in front of my ear but a little cotton wool and a gentle liquid face cleanser I usually use took care of that quickly. But this is so quick, so easy to use, no mad chemicals, no ammonia, no developer - just rub it into dry hair, wait and rinse off. I won't be using anything else to colour my hair from now on. Marvellous stuff!

Fab colour that covers grays and made my hair silky smooth. Dyed my hair 2 weeks ago and only starting to notice a little bit of fading. There’s a lot of it in the bottle as well and it is very easy to apply. Shame it’s not cruelty free 😔 reason for one star less.

I used this on my beard and my skin swallowed severely in a way that I couldn't believe. I got some patches of blood in some earlies too. Some beard falling and I am putting ice on it. :( Name of the product is deceiving, it is nice and earthy, but I think it contains some unearthly chemicals! Fortunately I just used it on my chin where I got some white hair not the rest of my face! I couldn't get refund because I ordered it 35 days ago, didn't use it within month, so now cannot be returned.

Wow, I used it completely wrong but it still worked. I had been in a pool and decided to wash my hair and wring it out. Then I applied maybe a 50p size in my palm. I forgot to put gloves on! So I massaged it into to scalp throughly then read the instructions as I am on holiday and in a camper. It says use on dry hair (oops) then leave for 30 min. I timed it so that was okay. I didn’t think it would work as my hair was wet/damp. It worked really well. My roots were grey, then I had copper then almost black. But after applying the shampoo it blended the copper up and the dark down. Also got rid of the grey. Furthermore I had to wash my hair in a sink as I couldn’t fathom the hot shower, but even with the odds against everything I did, it still came out well. Nice even colour.

My hair was very damaged after dyeing and being blow-dried by the hairdresser. I decided to try this shampoo myself, and it's fantastic. It's easy to use, and my hair no longer feels like cotton. I left it in for 20 minutes and it turned out a deep brown. Maybe next time I'll leave it in for a shorter time and it will be a bit lighter. I have a lot of gray hair, and it's beautifully covered. The scent is also very pleasant. My hair is thin, and I'm very careful about the products I use, but this one is truly fantastic.

I purchase the chestnut brown . I’m mixed race with naturally chestnut brown hair , with grey roots and random grey hairs . I understood this to be a herbal based hair colour which wouldn’t affect my natural colour as I’d coloured matched it . Oh my word what a disappointment this product is . Yes my grey roots took beautifully. BUT the rest of the hair is now nearly black ! Dry & frizzy , horrible condition even after using the conditioner. I raised this issue with the company chat on FB - absolutely no help apart from patronising advice to use their conditioner. I said it would be helpful if they raised the issue with product development, as it clearly doesn’t do what it’s meant to do ! I’m now stuck with a huge expensive bottle of the stuff which will go in the bin . My advice avoid unless you have truly near black hair

This actually works!! Love it. I’ve tried several other brands, some work, some don’t. They normally leave your gray hairs a bit orange. This one does’nt. It gives a nice brown color.

Es bueno si se manejan las expectativas. Primero lo bueno, la botella es grande, la fragancia es aceptable, muy herbal y se aplica en cabello seco. Esto último no puede enfatizarse más. Esperar 10-20 minutos a que haga efecto antes de enjuagar es muy diferente si se hace en pelo seco o pelo mojado. No me parece que tiá 100% las canas pero las matiza lo suficiente como para disimularlas y se evita el efecto raiz. La foto que muestro es luego de 1 semana. Ahora lo malo: hay que usar guantes y proteger la piel de frente y orejas con vaselina o producto similar ya que tiñe la piel temporalmente (igualito que en la peluquería). Hay que limpiar bien todo y usar una toalla oscura para evitar digustos. A mi no me ha manchado la funda de almohada, toalla o ropa pero hay que ser prudentes. El shampoo deja el pelo muy suave y la comodidad de usarlo en casa es lo mejor. Estoy muy contenta con este producto.

It works as a semi permanent colour with no ammonia. It covers greys and makes my hair soft and manageable like natural uncoloured hair. I love ❤️ this product.

After buying 2 other color shampoos I finally got the right color! I've been dying my hair for 3 decades now. Color shampoos are a great idea! This chestnut brown was the perfect shade for me, it lightened after about 4 washes. Perfect shade of dark brown and lightened to reddish highlights. It's gentle on my hair, no itchy scalp. I put the shampoo in a bowl, mixed it all up then literally grabbed the sticky liquid and applies it to my hair in sections. This way was easier to distribute throughout my hair. After 30 min I washed it out and used the hair masque. Hair smells natural, no chemical smell. For the summer I will try to mix the light brown and chestnut brown to experiment with the result.
