Was disappointed to see that this safe was not fire and waterproof. There are 4 holes slightly larger than the width of a pencil on both the back and bottom of the safe. The holes are for bolting down the safe to a wall or surface but simply too many holes leaving the safe exposed to fire and water. If you are looking for a safe that is safe and secure from fire and water, this probably isn’t the safe you are looking for.

This safe has holes in the bottom as well as mounting holes on the back. It can't possibly fireproof or waterproof. We are returning and will not buy another safe online. Need to physically see the quality.

This product advertises being fireproof and water proof. That was the reason I bought this item. But, how can this be true when it has 4- 1/2 holes drilled through it for mounting? So, even if you mount it to a wall, there's still 2 open holes left that ate unprotected. They should at least supply metal plugs to cover holes. A little shady advertising if you ask me

This safe is not waterproof. Also the safe is supposed to come with 4 aaa batteries and 4 locks for the safe. My box only came with 2 locks and no batteries. It looks like someone opened the box previously and removed the batteries then taped the box back up. Also one of the plastic clips that holds the shelf in place was broken so the shelf wasn't even attached when it came. This is more of a cheaper safe not worth the price it costs. Definite false advertising on the safe
