seems to me the best way to prime for Eternabond without comparison / it's not just acetone
I am finding that trying to prime surfaces (like a rubber roof) with acetone are ineffecient, ineffective and probably not even a good idea. So I finally went in for this stuff and I have to say that I think it's pretty much necessary to apply eternabond correctly. It sprays what seems to be almost like a aerosol-like version of the eternabond substance that primes the area in a really nice and sticky way that is impossible to get with other methods like deep-cleaning, acetone, sanding, etc.I think if you are bothering to get on top of your RV roof and risk your knees and your life to fix some leaks, I owe it to myself to use the easiest method possible. So I think it's worth the cost. It was for me much easier than keeping a bottle of acetone and cloth near enough to the roof area where I was working so that I could access it without spilling a container of acetone on my rubber roof (yikes!) It's much more practical to just have the bottle of Eternaprime. Perhaps the calculation is different if you are not balancing yourself on a rubber RV roof.I have seen comments where people say that this is just acetone but I have used both. Acetone is just a liquid and when rubbed, will completely remove not just the dirt, but paint and the existing rubber on your roof. As opposed to rubbing acetone on my rubber roof, this primes is by just spraying a mist of what seems like a very sticky substance although there might be acetone mixed in, this is not acetone. Here is my review of how I actually used the Eternabond on my trailer:https://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R1MYD6HPXHAQCF?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl

Nozzle gets clogged very easy
I was unable to even use 1/4 of the can because the tip became clogged. I guess i was sold an old can or their product isnt reliable. I shaked the can for 5 minutes prior to any use. It was used in 74 degree temp. It wasnt used then not used...so it didnt sit. I stopped at times only to shake the can again as u should do with any aerosol product which was after it started to sputter and then become compleyely clogged. After the product became not usable.....after not even 2 minutes of spray time..... I tried to clean up the spray tip with laquer thinner to unclog it. I didnt shove anything into it... This product is too expensive to invest in if you only get to use not even 1/4 of a can. They need to resolve this..... i invested in the cleaner, and this product, in cobination with their tape for my work trailers roof. For the tiny area i did get to spray it did seem to make it tacky which is what its supposed to do so thats why i gave it 1 star instead of zero! Its a waste of money because of the dispensing isnt reliable.

The product was easy to use
Did the trick. I used the cleaner and primer then the tape to go over existing caulking. There was some leaking before but I haven't detected any since the application. My rv is small with little storage space but will keep a bit in the rv in case there are new surprises. The product was easy to use. I was working with an 8ft strip. Be sure to leave the vinyl on the sticky sided until positioned correctly or you may get tangled and taped yourself! I had a few issues where it was difficult to pull the protective vinyl away from the adhesive but all seems to have worked out. I used this to reseal the front and back end caps. The back required an overlapping strip to cover the thickness of the prior caulking. The ladder seemed a bit shaky at the roof and the caulking appeared to be cracking to I used the tape there and the ladder seems to be much more stable now.

needed for eternaBond tape
I used this with EternaBond Roof seal. Spray it on the area to be covered and let it set for about a minute or two. The roof seal worked perfectly with it. I tried one area without it and had some issues with completely sealing against the surface. This stuff works great.
