KiplingWomen's City Pack Small Backpack, Lightweight Versatile Daypack, Bag

I find this bag just the right size for leisure travel. Great for taking a change of intimates and spare t-shirt on the plane, along with my small tech, quart bag of 3 oz containers, and random other items. Then while out and about, it fits a rolled up jacket or cap and gifts in the big pocket, and sanitizer, breath mints, wallet, keys, and sundries in the 3 exterior small pockets and other items in the quick access drawstring pocket. Really versatile, easily adjustable straps that don't slip/slide, slightly water resistant, and very good looking. It's not so big that I look like I'm going camping or heading off to school, not so small that it's clearly just a 'cute purse'. It really is functional. And it's a Kipling so when I've used and dirtied it plenty, I can just toss it in the washer and extend its life.

My first Kipling bag was bought over 27 years ago for my first international trip. It’s been traveling with me everywhere since, I loved it! The fabric on the edge of the piping just now started showing wear and the buckles are slightly rusting. I’ve washed it in the washing machine several times. The fabric of the Kipling bags today are not the same at all. It was light but very sturdy, dressed up for a wedding abroad or for hiking trip while traveling. It was literally perfect. The hardware back then was superior to anything on the market these days.All that said I purchased this bag with high hopes. The hardware isn’t bad but not what it used to be. The fabric is ok, but I’d never bring it to a formal or business event while traveling. The zippers make it look like the quality is inferior even though they actually aren’t bad. But I’d be embarrassed to try passing it off at a formal event like my other bag. Also, the logo on the front is rubber-like, unlike my other bag, which was a classy looking metal icon and a nicely sown fabric label. That I can still read. My old bag was perfect except there was no water bottle pocket outside. I survived 27+ years without one but times are different and I like that feature. My old bag was purchased by my parents because I was a child so I have no idea the cost. This bag isn’t bad but there’s no way any of these bag will last that long.In case anyone is wondering, yes I’m keeping the old bag and I still using it.

This was a gift to our daughter. Kipling makes a great product and our daughter really likes it to use for day trips to cheer competitions for her daughter.
